As a former addict drugs definitely make you do things you wouldn't do otherwise, especially meth. I've been clean over 15 years but I definitely did things when I was using that I would NEVER do sober.

@@amysnews6808 I think he mean that it's pretty hard for someone on fentanyl to even stand up, let alone DO anything. Sure people do horrible things to get drugs, just like they do for greed, power, etc. But simply being 'under the influence' does not mean violence. Meth seems to affect people's mental state more than downers do as well. Unless it's behavior common to persons on that drug, then it doesn't make sense to blame the drug for the behavior. For instance, that one girl that claimed she stabbed her friend because of being high on weed; ridiculous. Caffeine is a drug, but if tomorrow someone tried to blame home invasions on their Starbucks use we would ridicule the hell out of them. People confuse crimes committed to avoid withdrawal, with crimes committed while under the influence. Nobody is doing fentanyl and then impulsively robbing a bank while doubled over and drooling, but I'm sure plenty have robbed places to afford drugs.

As a Californian native. I 1000% agree. I haven't been into L.A. for over maybe the last few years now because it gets worse and worse. I, for damn sure, don't go to beaches like Santa Monica or Venice beach. Other coastal cities are better with way less tourist traffic and the most beautiful views.
