The Las Vegas Journal Review reported this incident that happened last Sunday. A woman seen in a viral video climbing on a craps table and throwing chips at people has been arrested on four counts of battery, according to the Reno Police Department. Rebecca Castillo, 63, was taken into custody on Saturday. The incident occurred at the Silver Legacy Casino in Reno just after 5 p.m., police said. They go on to say no one knows why she climbed onto the table.

If players crawl around and try to grab chips on floor they might have hard time cashing them, the eye in the sky sees all. A good surveillance team has their hands full with this one. If lower denomination chips were thrown, ($1/5/25) will be much harder to track

What most may not know is that chips $25 and up are all microchipped at most casinos. They would be able to find them all especially the $100, $500, $1,000 and $5,000 chips. In the industry they actually called checques not chips. And the guy with the stick in his hand was originally called a “croupier” but now they’re referred to as the stick person in the industry. The other 2 dealers are called base dealers.

Craziest thing I saw was a guy swing at a blackjack dealer twice at Mille Lacs. I'm not sure what happened as he went to his room, I assume he was arrested at his room or by the lobby. Another time I was there I heard a major drug bust was going on in the parking lot, I was already inside for a long time by that point and was parked on the other side of the casino so didn't get to see or hear anything more about it

@@wesleygriffin9071 The friend I was with said he was trying to sell his silver coins to the cage because that was the last of the money he had on him. He overheard him trying to sell it for like $6 less than what you could buy it for at the time, but I guess the casino offered him like 50% of what it was actually going for at the time, so I was going to offer to buy it off him for the $6 off at the time, but I ultimately didn't. It was just pretty crazy. Dealer just told him to GTFO of the casino and I don't think he got hit, but might've?

I've worked casino security, this is a 6 hour report with 4 day follow-up. Securing camera video, eye witness statements, cost of damages, as well as CCTV footage. Depending on the patrons' history this could be 3 or 4 days in jail with a lifetime trespass or if someone wants to claim chips in the face an assault, quite a bit more. The reason I mention patrons' history is a 5 star player or High Limit Club member may get off with paying for damages and trespassed from this property only. Casino security can be a fun job also very difficult with potential legal issues on any given day.

@@tom_reagan in casinos I've worked the response would be no less than 30 seconds. I was involved in breaking up a Poker Room fight responding in 15 seconds. There are times where security teams of three may be on assignment in a corner of the property or dealing with an entrance or sidewalk issue until Police arrive. I agree, even short-staffed I don't see a delay of more than one minute, especially with two higher ranking personnel on site. My immediate boss and manager became involved at times. There is code casino employees follow regarding guests and degree of response to issues. The table dealers were smart in not going hands-on as no one was being injured and chips are insured.

I've uttered something like that phrase ,2 yrs ago a drunken dude (or High, can't really tell these days) was STRETCHED OUT in the vestibule of CVS on the Strip. And when a female VPD showed up and was asking him, "Politely " , SIR, ARE YOU OK, DO YOU NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION ??? ..... this idiot looked into her face and yelled : F👹K U, GET THE F👹K OUTTA MY FACE 😲, and laid back down. Officer said ok and called for backup, as i walked by ,i leaned over and said directly to the dude : YOU ARE GOING TO JAIL NOW, he looks up,flips me off 🕊🤡, and laid back down. And he had a really REALLY nice looking watch and diamond chain on, were they real ??? ... who knows.

That absolutely never happened. Once they're turned in they have to hold it for 30 or 60 (I forget which) days to see if they're claimed.

This incident would caused a lot of stress and took hours to resolve with the cameras and your action amd bets on the table. Not to mention the business.
