I think you guys misquoting what rodri said. He clearly said arsenal were fantastic and deserving. He wasn’t advising how arsenal should approach a game of football. He simply said, the approach of arsenal team made him “feel” that they were superior to arsenal mentally. Arsenal’s approach may have been right but it definitely helped opponent team in feeling more confident and have more belief the final run-in. His Feelings can be right or wrong but it definitely helped them cross the line at end of the day

Pep is a results machine via flawless structured football. To win you have to find a superior structure and make it sustainable. Klopp did & burnt out the players. Arteta matched the control whilst placing an emphasis on defensive domination.

To answer your Q Mo, about why Man City has pipped Liverpool & Arsenal in these Title Races: Man City has the extra bit of mental fortitude during the business end of the season. In 2018/19, Liverpool had a 7pt lead heading into their Man City game at the Etihad. In addition to losing that (vs drawing), they still had a pt cushion which they meekly surrendered by drawing against weak Utd and Everton teams in March. In 2021/22, Liverpool furiously chases City who has a ~3-5pt lead. City does Liverpool a favor and draws against West Ham in April, putting it in Liverpool's hands only to draw against Spurs at home in May. And now we have near-identical deja-vous with Arsenal losing out to City during the business end of the season. There's no excuse to lose against Villa at home, knowing you have to win this game to beat City to the title. City is so strong mentally, they managed their comeback win against Villa on the last day of the season (2021/22). It's a similar dynamic between Madrid and City in the CL. In 21/22 Madrid proved yet again that they have that extra mental edge to win over a Team that was 10x better than them. City finally overcame that the following year, only to relinquish it to Madrid again this year. Teams need to take it to City and hold their own in EVERY single "decisive" moment during the season.

What I find truly fascinating about conversation on panels when the 115 is brought up, it is done so by rivals on the most reductive basic way possible which shows they have very little, to no understanding of the case (aside from headlines they have read in the news). Another consideration to take into account is the charges of misreporting financial statements (which may or may not even be actual FFP breaches) only go to the 2017/18 season, so this idea that what happened 6 years ago means that what has just been accomplished today shouldn't count is absurd based on the time but also because the case has not been adjudicated yet. Let's assume the case is ruled upon, City are found guilty. Well, the next question we must ask logically is, to what extent? In order to say that City received an unfair playing advantage on the field - which is what all rival fans are purporting to be case - it needs to be quantified first. For example, if it comes to be true that over a 10yr period of time, City, on average had FFP breaches of 5m each year, is that enough to argue that City had a massive sporting advantage which allowed them win leagues? That seems to be a very hard case to make. That said, IF it comes to light to that City broke FFP (reporting issues etc) of 100m/yr for the 10yrs, now that is a completely different situation at which point, how could one argue that an extra 100m/yr did not give them some type of sporting advantage. But again, we don't know if they're guilty and IF they are, to what degree they could be which needs to be quantified.

Alot of people say we have a young average age but I actually calculated it for the past 4 yrs and actually are average age from 19/20 till now are 25.0, 26.0, 24.5, 25.0, and 25.3 respectively compared to Liverpool’s (27.9, 26.6, 26,9, 26.4, & 25.8) and Man City(27.6, 26.0, 26.9, 26.7 & 26.7). Starting 11 is a bit younger but the narrative that Arsenal had a young squad is actually false. Tottenham’s squad under Pottenchino from 14/15 to 18/19(23.7, 22.7, 22.7, 23.8, & 27.1) was a lot younger so generally I don’t think it’s a valid excuse & I don’t believe in excuses in all aspects of life especially football. Also, if you compare Man City's first four years from 08/09-11/12 (four seasons+I've adjusted for inflation) with our own from 20/21-23/24, Man City have spent £680.33M and Arsenal have spent £606.24M. Keep in mind Man City weren't in qualifying for Europe every year they were a mid table club. In those first 4 seasons argued the takeover: 10th, 5th, 3rd, 1st with an FA cup and PL while competing in an Era under Ferguson, Ancelotti, and Wenger. Arsenal spent only around £80M this summer alone they aren’t still winning the league.

Arsenal finished 2 points behind a team that has 115 charges. Inflated sponsorship probs paid haalands dad 50 million just for them. They also spent more last summer with players like gvadial being bought. There’s no team that can compete with city in a league in the whole world it’s just that simple even real madrid only won on penalties.

I remember when I lived in North Italy for a year studying, I lived with a Milan supporting family, and there were plenty of people in uni who were Juve fans too. They all rubbished the charges at their club. Until those that matter proved they had balls and punished them accordingly. I don't trust the PL and FA to do that. They would prefer to protect the product and for all this to be swept under the carpet. City at worst will be fined. Maybe figures. And their fans will say it proves somehow they're innocent like 'time barred' somehow did.

@LNobbins is not accurate that this was a really bad season for city points wise. This is Pep's seasons points since he arrived in order: 91, 89, 93, 86, 81, 98, 100= 91 (on average and I'm not including his first year which was 78 points which would bring the average down to 89 ;)) So they scored their same points this year as their average. If this was last season, we would have won the league as they finished on 89 points and that was the trebble side that was amazing. We heard the same bs last season, oh this was the best chance Arsenal will have to win the league as city will be better, chelsea will be better, liverpool will be better. It's weak analysis

you are forgetting the MOST IMPORTANT PART last season. arsenal BOTTLED IT last season and man city won it with THREE games in hand. so city rotated heavily in the last 2 games. if city needed to win, you know they'll win, and instead of finishing 89 points, they would have gotten 5 more points, that would put them at 94 points last season.

It's not based upon talent but I believe it's more based upon structure as in boxing terms the fighter whom represents MAN CITY gets the better equipment's + better training from better boxing coach thus they win more CITY owners made sure their footballing structure is well in place even though people can question on how they got till that point (ie the financial doping) Other big teams can match CITY spending easily but they can't replicate the structure + overall atmosphere thus the disparity ARSENAL & LIVERPOOL are the only ones who came close thus they were part of the title races but even their owners have been stingy at various aspects thus they fell short Not to mention the medical staff which many people rule out completely None of the CITY squad bar maybe STONES and KDB was perennially injured throughout the season Even KDB who had a serious injury came back with even better vigor and contributed more than some of the other players who played whole season lol
