Yeah I can't understand why some these English man don't want to blame some these English players he call for the ball Maguire needed to check his surrounding he had options either pass it back to the keeper or let the ball run by him he beat both attackers

I didn't hear that as dismissing Maguire asking for it, more so that de Gea should have recognized it wasn't actually on and chosen a different option. I'll point out Maguire was asking for the ball in there a long time before he actually got it, the space was there at the start but it disappeared by the time the pass finally came in. Fault on both players in my mind.

1 of the biggest threat of Real last year was Vinicius JR. He had too much room down the flank and was by far too speedy for the defenders. The moment Walker came off due to injury, that changed the game. Plus the addition of Rodrigo. City's side is fully fit and has enough depth to deal with anything Real has to throw. Nonetheless, it's going to be a mouthwatering game. I'm a city fan, but there is something about this tournament and Real.

People forget that Madrid didn’t have casemiro in dat 1st leg against city which is why we conceded so much with little to no controll

@Genna Treet I'd debate that. The first leg was 100% to both sides. Two titans at it. But substitution of key players for the 2nd leg was what changed the game. After walker came off, Vinicius made a mockery of the replacement. And to top it off, Pep decided to remove Debruyne and Jesus and place Fernandihno and another defensive player in the mix with close to 10 min left in the game, completely thinning the midfield, while Real did the opposite and sent on Camavinga and Rodrygo. No bashing whatsoever of Pep, but a lesson well learnt I hope. If your side has the lead and momentum, see it through with the players on the field. Don't fix what's not broken.

No amount of defending Maguire will ever save him. He's hopeless as a player. C'mon guys, I've got too much respect for you. Firstly, he at least gestured for the ball. Next, he gets it calmly, with 2 players closing in but not even close enough to make a tackle. He could have turned or held on to the ball for a few. Thirdly, if he had a tiny bit of spatial intelligence he would have worked out his passing options, 3, before the ball arrived at his feet. Degea's not great with his feet, but it's clearly Maguire's fault

City are packed with talent and now they have a world class goal scorer. They are better than last year but so is Madrid. Since last year, Rodrygo has become a starter, Camavinga can play LB better than most LBs and we have Touchameni. In addition, Ceballos is showing that he can be a very reliable RM midfielder and he has shown his worth to the team. And we also have Rudiger this year. It’s a knockout tournament. Everyone thought Napoli and Benfica would advance based on this year’s form, yet the historic CL teams of Milan and Inter prevailed! Same thing will happen with RM vs City. Madrid will find a way to advance, it’s in their club DNA. The fear of losing to a CL monster like Real Madrid will be too much to handle and will eat away at City’s psyche.

I didn't see any fear last year when city were arguably weaker in defence as you mentioned, City are a younger team as well, which is strength. It's true that real have this air of invincibility about them in this tournament, but all rulers reign for awhile, then they die. It's City's era now. 💙

Make o mistake about it. City were in a position to go through last season and blew it. Madrid have done it time and time again. City has to overcome their ceiling, but they have the squad to do it. Also, Madrid have the squad and Gk to stop them. It should be an amazing two legs.

@@colbyswensen1071 the audio is normally fine the issue is the audio is usually delayed or the video is delayed, this the first time some of it is hard to hear

@@chinortega3 yeah for sure, fair enough. I usually listen instead of watch. I did skip ahead halfway and the choppy sound seemed to have stopped. But a bit silly no one caught it. Or if they did, decided to release it anyway.
