Rob A. Gentile is the son of Italian immigrants. His father worked in a steel-mill, and so Gentile grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Gentile has spent his career as a sales engineer in the steel industry while married to his wife, Melanie, for over 30 years. Together, they have devoted themselves to their special needs daughter, Maria, who is in her twenties, and whom Rob refers to as “pure spirit.”
Throughout her childhood, he grappled with difficult questions about prayer and why children must suffer. Answers came in a sudden and unexpected way-at age 56 he had a massive heart attack, then flatlined, and had a near-death experience (NDE). Self-discovery and spiritual awakening continued while waiting to receive a donor heart.

I have a son just like Maria. I have been caring for him for 36 years. I needed this today.... I have tried my best to just love him the best way I can... so to hear this makes me feel happy and sad all rolled into one. I will love him the best way I know while he continues on this earthy path. (He does not walk ortalk or feed himself. I have never heard him say mom etc. ) Thank You so much for this message!

_I have witnessed many literal miracles in my life of 54 yrs, but THIS, yours, is by far the greatest I've seen yet. Your son IS whole, now. He, as his whole self, IS "in there". Surely by knowing this, you can respond to Him in a way you never could before. God BLESS you, Miss Muriel. I am beyond excited knowing we 3 will meet face to face in the presence of our God one day._

I sat at my father’s death bed while in his final hours. He had been in a coma for 3 days without any movement whatsoever. He was an agnostic as was I. I had stumbled upon some NDE testimonies and there at his bedside I told him that there is evidence that there is heaven and we all go there. He flashed one of his smiles as if to say, “I know son….I’m already there.” It was life changing for me.

Wow. I was having a really hard day/night missing my partner (recent suicide), and my special needs daughter was having a lot of pain/yelling today. I was thinking all day; "who in their right f'n mind wants to be here? If it wasn't for my daughter I'd be out, but I can't leave her". And i pulled up this NDE and it was exactly written for me. I bawled when he met his daughter on the other side, and i really felt he was speaking right into me in his advice to those trying to make sense of their loved ones leaving, and really knowing they are walking beside us. I KNOW all of this. I just need a lot of reminders right now. ♥️

My daughter and I tried to stop him we talk to him for hours and when we left, he took his life so thanks so much for telling us your story. I appreciate it.

I had a profound experience after my beloved maternal grandmother passed who basically raised me. It's similar to yours after your aunt passed. My dad had come for the funeral and that evening standing outside looking up at the stars, I asked him if he thought she was watching over us. I was gut wrenched when he answered no and that in death we are asleep and that is it. This was my first significant loss and after that I found myself questioning my faith and my heart in turmoil. A few nights later, I was talking to my life long friend in his car. This was his first car he'd had for years and it was a total hoopty. The windows were a beast to get up n down, duck tape held together, heater had to be on in the summer, so as not to overheat, heater never worked in the winter and the radio NEVER worked; if it turned on at all, it would be static. Suddenly out of the blue, I started to freak out in fear, (now I know it was similar to having an anxiety attack) and I looked all around like there was someone maybe even "something" near us. I insisted we go, just start the car, we gotta leave right now. As he drove away, I started crying and looked up to the stars out the window and silently prayed in desperation, confusion, and uncertainty. Looking forward in attempt to think about something else, I reached out and turned on the radio. "Karma Camelion" started to play at the very beginning of the song, perfect volume, not a bit of static. That song was my grandma's favorite and she used to dance to it when it came on MTV to make me laugh. On my 8th birthday, I got a boombox and when I brought it to her house, she would say, "Play that camelion song!" Words cannot explain the utter joy and relief that came over my entire body. I looked back up into the sky and there was a bright falling star as if it was a wave to me. I just wept and wept tears of joy. The days following I told everyone I saw about it. There's no doubt that my grandma was comforting me, letting me know that Daddy was wrong. It wasn't a coincidence; it was proof that there is an afterlife and it's all going to be OK.

Before my mom passed. She would say to us, where is mom and dad, I said mom they passed. Then I realized, omg she is about to pass away. I heard stories like this, where love one come to them to comfort their next journey. Then when she was at the hospital, me and this physical therapist was trying to move her, then she would all of a sudden say. Look at those beautiful lights, it was angelic. Then mom passed 2 weeks later.

So very true, Alex! I gave two homeless people yesterday, sliced green 🍏 apples. I told them that these green apples are very rare and special. One I told him that they will heal him. I said this because I felt it. His face lit up and his smile I’ll never forget. The woman a few blocks later, smiled. She was grateful, it to her was a glorious gift and treasure. She walked away to place it in her bag. She thanked God and was truly grateful and her eyes were watery. I’m actually crying right now. This sharing alone creates and created profound connections that fed our heart, mind and soul. ❤ ETA🌹

@@jerikarason2339 I was not lying. I love these special green apples. I feel that they are rich and hearty in nutrients. I wait all year to buy these green apples at the super market. I thought it nice to share what I had at hand to the homeless. They were very thrilled to receive these slices of apple. Shame on you saying that I’m lying.

There is no hell. A loving God cannot send his creations - no matter how terrible- to hell. My dad killed my mother and a Christian mystic explained that he had to go to “rerform” school but not hell. The worst lesson is “living” through other people as you harmed them. You feel their fear, you feel their pain and that is truly hell.

I also believe this man. I have an adult disabled son. I truly know that his perfect soul is in safe keeping and aware of all his current human experience. It’s tough, tough for him and tough for me, alone, seeing him suffer every minute of every day is torture but I know the God of all things, the father of love and light, the creator, has my son safe and this horrific experience my son and I are going through is temporary, - life is temporary and we must learn from this experience. Meanwhile, we know that God loves us all and wants us to come to know him and to be United together in love. ❤ Do not judge, lest we be judged also.

Sir, thank you very much for your podcast. I am truly grateful, it's refreshing and i needed this. I am 67, and it is only now that i'm finally learning that boundaries are very important. That even if i love my family members unconditionally, that doesn't say they feel the same towards me. That my values and theirs are very different, we hold completely opposite views and values. That family doesn't always stay in your life. That people who say they love you,can and have completely conducted themselves demonstrating the opposite of love. It's a challenge letting go, i am working towards going on and living my life, but that doesn't mean there is no hurt, and disappointment. My younger brother passed away over 5 years ago and i was broken, until my brother came to me in a dream, he hugged and kissed me, like he was saying good bey. He came to me off and on in my dreams for the first one and a half years after he passed. My mother and sister are still living but no longer involved, my sister has cut off any way of my communicating with my mother, she seeks complete control. Covid time was a great opportunity for that to transpire. It's dysfunctional situation that takes an ugly turn... apparently it's pretty common. I've given up because i do have health challenges that are being aggravated by the situation. I just send them love, and trust God has a plan.

When we show our love in small acts of kindness and compassion how fulfilling it feels. I loved the a whole synchronicity of Molly, Mia, the working with special needs, the sketching, bringing his mother in and his father with the love of Daisies (which btw is my favourite flower and is my daughter’s name) that made me say there it is there’s the connection in action. I laughed as you recalled the ridiculousness of dogma. I was raised in the Church of Christ. As a child I would get out of bed go downstairs and hide under our drop leaf table in case Jesus came back that night. I said my prayers each night, but if I would fall asleep, I might forget to end with “in Jesus name , Amen” and I would wake myself. Because if he came back that night....I would be doomed! However, in 196when I was in college at 19, I had an NDE and it changed my fears and gave me peace. I stopped going to the C of C. And counseled others who were afraid of death. No one understood the experience. Finally in the 1970’s I began to read of others who had similar experiences. Thank you for your podcast!😇

This was a great video and makes me feel better that My loved ones are in a better place. Yet on the other hand it made me wonder why my son got cancer at 25 and no matter how hard I worked to save him he passed away right after his 30 Birthday. I don't want to think he was just hanging in there for me and really wanted to go but that is the way it seems. Also something my son use to say to me in the last years of his life was "Love yourself" after he passed I went to his FB page and at the to their is a quote from him and it says "Love Yourself" He has given me many signs and I am trying hard to live but it is so hard.

“Can a departed soul converse with someone still on earth?” "A conversation can be held, but not as our conversation. There is no doubt that the forces of the higher worlds interplay with the forces of this plane. The heart of man is open to inspiration; this is spiritual communication. As in a dream one talks with a friend while the mouth is silent, so is it in the conversation of the spirit." - Abdu’l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 179.

I’m actually in tears. Through most of his story when he started talking about his 2nd NDE mostly I was instantly thinking things and he would say it almost at the same time. Like when he seen his daughter whole and she said those words I thought just love me and he said it right after, just love me. I know he’s exactly right. Great podcast I’m new to it this is my 2nd episode I’ve watched and have subscribed. Great job 👏

Hi Alex, I just found your channel days ago and am really enjoying your shows, especially the NDE’s! I have a question for you. I started meditating 3 years ago and it has helped me immensely. However, lately something has felt off. I’ve heard you mention your own meditation practice several times and wondered if you talk about the way that you meditate in any of your videos. I’d love to hear about it. Thanks so much and thanks for all the work you do on these encouraging videos!

As a domestic abuse survivor, I often struggle with the fear of my son being hurt during visitation with his father. Hearing the story of Rob’s daughter was so healing for me. Specially, the part where she said “just love me”, and when he realized that no matter what happens here, the best part of her is untouchable. This message was such a blessing to me today. Thank you.

I've watched many of your guests being interviewed on other platforms, but, when interviewed on Next Level Soul they open up with energy and detail that weren't divulged in previous interviews. Testament to this channel. Giving space to receive. Gold. Loved Rob's quote "Coincidences are God's way of remaining anonymous" ... 💮 ... and him repeating the word "Surrender" in the latter part of the interview (from experience this is the key sensation of an NDE - quite the trip when you're in fight or flight much of your life).

I know I listened to this before but it popped up again today. It was very moving. One of my best friends lost her son a year ago having suffered for 35 years with muscular dystrophy. She had been his caregiver and struggles with why and what she believes about the afterlife. I may forward this to her. On a lighter note, I had a similar experience to discovering something randomly on an old video I was transferring. I had just purchased, after a long search, a small Disney Snow White figurine. I had Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella. These were childhood mementos and Snow White was missing. There are several versions and I'd been looking for the one where she holds her dress out but I bought the one where her hands were clasped in front. Not one week later I was transferring the video and found one of my mom's from 1996 and my nieces were taking her camera through their new home. And, there on a shelf in my niece's bedroom was Snow White with her hands clasped. I doubt anyone had looked at that video since it was filmed. I'm not sure of the significance of the confirmation and it seems silly but it was also meaningful at the same time. I'm glad you saw your aunt! How cool was that!

I think i sobbed for this entry episode. Thank you both for sharing this conversation. I have a brother with special needs and although he can talk, he can't really express how he feels so hearing Maria's words to her father "just love me" opened the flood gates here!! I also lost my youngest brother at 16 year's of age in a car accident and my parents agreed to donate his organs which then helped save the life of another person. Now I'm thinking that could have been apart of his purpose. Thank you both for sharing this.🙏💖

My brother died not knowing what was going to happen with his special needs daughter. She had genetic issues and her spine was twisting and compressing her lungs. They had to decide whether to get her the surgery or let her die with the possibility she would die on the table anyway. Before the decision could be made, my brother contracted duodenal cancer and was dead in less than a year. The stress and pain that families of special needs children go through, the sleeplessness, the surgeries, the life and death decisions. It filled my heart with joy to know that you were able to speak with your daughter and see her well and "perfect". (My niece survived her surgery and is thriving.) These parents are the unsung heroes of the world.... peace, joy, continued strength, and blessings to all of them.

Spirit always say to me. Do what brings you joy! Another thing I'm told is go play! Remember a smile is healing to others. One day I was oil painting. Spirit said learn to be. This took me a time to learn because I was very good at multitasking. What have learn from this manifesting came faster. I've learn never ask in prayer for something when I'm in fear or worry because I believe it cancels your prayer. Fear and worry is lack of faith brings your vibration down. So for me, I make a list of all the blessings big and small to bring my vibration up then I pray for what I' m asking for. This works for me to get into gratitude first thing in the morning. Lord, bring the person in my path that you want me to help this day. Please make it clear to me what you want me to do to help this person. You do have to trust what your being told to do and know it will work out.

I'm dealing with this subject right now... the reality that time is finite. I have no support as the people around me expect me to be more positive, Or simply will not discuss it. That means no support. My goal is to enjoy, To the best of my ability, whatever time I may have left. Whatever time I may have left. The negativity I'm experiencing around me is making this almost impossible. I'm looking for groups or friends to do things with, to have some laughs, To experience a good life that I've been wasting way too long. Godspeed good people.

My younger brother had this life saving pump put into his body here in Perth, Western Australia last year to keep his heart pumping until they found a new heart for his failing one. He had open heart surgery in March last year and the surgeon knicked an artery and we almost lost him. They went back in and repaired the artery and then the pump was online and working for his damaged heart. Almost three months to the day after this operation when we almost lost him, a miracle happened and the perfect heart became available on the 20th June, and on 21st June the winter solstice here in Perth, Western Australia, my beautiful brother got a healthy new heart and began his new life. We just celebrated his one year heart anniversary this weekend in honour of Neale’s new heart and the beautiful soul who donated it to him, and his family. We will forever be grateful to them and will remember him each year on 21st June ♥️
