Man curses at judge during sentencing hearing in Butte

James Wasson, who cursed at a judge and kicked down a courtroom podium during an earlier court appearance, had another outburst during a sentencing hearing in Butte. Wasson's outburst a few days earlier was in response to District Judge Ed McLean's denial of a plea bargain that would have shortened Wasson's sentence.

47 now. Id rather die man... I can't imagine in my wildest dreams what it must be like to be sitting in jail with a sentence like that. I'm sure every year would feel like the longest of your life, and then you make it through one finally and realize you still have 49 more of them to go. And then what? You make it through the prison term alive and without losing your mind, and are released in your late 60's/early 70's? Living the last few years of your life knowing about everything you missed out on and never experienced seems almost worse then the prison time. Like i said, id rather die. If God forbid I was ever in the same situation as this guy, I would bring a cyanide capsule or something to court so that I could swallow it after I heard my sentence. Theres actually a video on here of a guy doing just that after receiving a long prison sentence for arson.

Actually... prison isn't that bad. Hear me out. I went to prison for 9 years for shooting a bully in the face as he slept on his sofa at night in 2003. Bad I know but... in prison I got to play XBOX 360 video games. If I was into drugs, I had more access to drugs than I ever had in my life. Prison rape is non existant in Arizona prison since they do not segregate the gays from general population and it's hella frowned upon. Also, in Arizona the pathetic prison "gangs" are given a seat a the table to run things for the prison officials. Blind eyes will arise if you take care of prison officials and how do you think modern smart phones are inside prison? They don't fit inside the rectum. (The guards bring in most of the contraband). I learned how to become a more efficient patient criminal in crimes that involve burglarizing abandoned buildings and hunting down scrap metal from abandoned cartel vehicles in the desert. It's not good but it's a farcry from it effective punishment. So no. Unfortunately this man will be playing basketball and forgetting his cares with like minded people for the next 42 or 32 years... lol most states only allow you to do a fraction of your time incarcerated as long as you have the ability to be paroled. In Arizona you only have to serve 85%. In other states it's as low as 65%. He'll be out in time to be recieving social security's bare minimum.

You ever see these videos of lions hunting a wildebeest or a cape buffalo? The Lions go about their business totally oblivious of these big trucks that have dozens of tourists watching and recording them. This video reminds me of that. First, you have the person recording this video, and then you have another person recording his outburst when he realizes he'll be in prison for decades and, finally at 3:40 a man records him as he is being escorted off to prison. All the while, to him, it's just business as usual. @@glenturney4750

Why do some minor crimes like stealing a car, get you 50 years, and raping a woman gets you 20 years? Stealing is wrong and illegal, but I would think killing/raping is on a whole new level of evil. Hurting or killing a child/baby should always be life with no parole in every case. Actually those people should be put in front of a firing squad. I heard Trump was suppose to make that a law in certain states. Also if you kill a child, why can't you spend the rest of your life in solitary confinement? Our jails are way to soft for certain people.

He can only watch educational shows to get his brain in gear. I also hope that he uses Leap Frog learning toys when he's behind bars.

All he did was prove the judge right for denying a plea bargain.

Somewhat, but come on now; 50 YEARS for alluding police? The judge is punishing the public, for his crimes! What are they going to do with all of these inmates, when they cant afford to feed/house them? I'll admit he needs rehabilitation, ( 8 years with good behavior); but he will be a worthless old man by the time he gets out...Tax payers will pay for him then, too!
