A man looking for Frisbees in a lake at a Pinellas County park died after being bitten by an alligator, according to authorities.
Emergency crews say it happened at John S. Taylor Park, located at 1100 8th Ave. SW. in Largo.
Detectives with the Largo Police Department believed the man entered the water looking for the plastic dics. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed the 47-year-old was bitten by a gator, and police said he ultimately died.

There is no point in trying to teach stupid people. Everyone has a personal responsibility for their own safety, that is partly built in with instinct. Creatures in the water that can kill or severely injure you, in my mind means you stay well clear.

This situation with the alligator attacks has gotten out of control, it's stupid for the State of Florida to constantly allow it citizens and tourists to be subjective to be at risk of being eaten!

Sorry bud but this is Florida and we live with Gators and snakes and a lot of Wildlife. You come here you respect their environment. Enjoy it at a distance but know your limit. If you're stupid enough to get in a lake with gators then you get what's coming. The gator is only acting on instinct. Plus the the stupid man goes to the Waters Edge during breeding season? Whatever. If tourists want to come here and go to their fun parks and blah blah blah but there is a limit in the parents have a responsibility to know what is safe and what is not. If they don't stay home

Where did you get this information? Number one the Gators were all here no population control and everybody kept coming. It's just like the idiots who build their houses on sand. Read your scripture, those people are fools. Lying to themselves and making this foolish decisions for their Investments and their families safety. Then the hurricane comes and they stay in their home. More fools. Foolish people make bad decisions.

That is a beautiful park, I go there walking often, have a number of videos on youtube from this park, I never ever had a gator problem there....the guy was in the water, common sense....STAY OUT OF THE WATER !

So the moral of the story is go into the gators home F around and find out, and then kill the gator because someone else went to their home and the gator was just being the ambush predator the it is. How does this make any sense???

I’m sorry for this man and the family. But listen people, when you approach the gators 🐊 that’s unfortunate happened! For me the best things to do put fence around the area and let them live they life !
