The Sterling forget me not is part of a bracelet soldiers would send to their loved ones: mothers, girlfriends, wives, etc for them to have while the soldier was overseas fighting, usually with their names engraved on the links of the bracelet. I found one about a year ago.

The bracelet or parts that you found comes from around World War II and the person leaving would give it to his girl and it was a forget me knot bracelet. Sometimes the Mother was given such a bracelet from her children who were in the military. The flowers are Forget Me Nots. I’ve seen complete bracelets on EBay.

This is called a Forget Me Knot bracelet. Either for a relative or some people would put the names of their friends during school. Quite popular.

It was mice to meet Frank and Turina. It's so nice of them to let you metal detect on their property again and to detect with you. I believe that was a mother's bracelet that you found with the names of her children on it. Glad to see Doug back.

When I saw you guys start pulling pieces of that bracelet,my jaw dropped. I found the exact bracelet, with a name scribed in each one, last winter along a creek at the bottom of a ravine. I was lucky enough to find mine still intact, and there was an old homesite nearby.

That silver brooch is really nice. I would guess '40s on it, possibly earlier. It's not art deco. The extra loop is so it can be worn as a pendant as well as a brooch. I collect this stuff and if I had found this I'd be thrilled.

Rich you are the luckiest one of them all! Always finding the coolest things and getting all the video time! I think you do have a bracelet - the pattern is the For-get-me-not flower. I'm thinking it's a mother's bracelet....maybe her sons went off to war ??? You could do research and find the family, the sons, and if they made it back alive. Would also be neat if you can find a relative. A grandson or granddaughter of Bob or Dick! Awesome video once again! Glad Doug is out and about!

Spent almost 10 weeks hunting in northern Michigan and the upper peninsula. Did find one silver quarter, but like you, I dug a bunch of deep 1965's. It's a big letdown for sure. But the biggest problem was the mineralized soil, where even pennies sounded like quarters. The best find was an antique sterling silver Boy Scout ring.

You very rarely get to find more than one piece to a seperated find, but four is unbelievable! what a top permission that has been, Its a shame Doug was sidelined with a crook foot, hope he's back out detecting real soon, But I was wondering if the back of his chair said Director, Boss or Star on its back! any of those is appropriate! looking forward to the next hunt, you might even complete the bracelet! Good to see the family getting involved, there may be some up and coming detectorist's in the making! Cheers and thanks!

💥💥💥💥That 65 quarter. What a gut punch - I felt that 6 states away. Happened to me so many times hunting the riverbanks of colonial New Hampshire…but much more twisted trickery. Mine come out of the ground wet, dirty, and dark green with blotches of copper showing through. My glasses make them into farthing’s or a half pennies with excellent detail. What else would be 12” down along ye olde’ riverbank? One time I stayed on my knees next to the target just to bask in the wave of triumph. I lit a smoke and my mind drifted to thoughts of who might have lost this coin and how? But the stool got kicked right out from under all that. Just a clad 1972 quarter. I call them Witches quarters.

Mother's rings usually have the birthstones of their kids it's possible the bracelet was a mother's bracelet with her kids names on it (edit:hey I commented in the middle of the video I didn't steal the moms bracelet or art nouveau suggestion. I gotta stop commenting until the videos over so I don't look like some hack) . The brooch might be a little earlier then art deco. It looks more in the art nouveau style like right before the change. Art deco has an angular theme whereas art nouveau is more like floral patterns of the Victorian age. Actually it started out with the Victorian style. What a great sight. The only bummer is seeing a clad quarter come from so deep because who knows what's really way down there. They either added fill or possibly someone had a tree and the stump removed and dirt had to be filled so hopefully that's only a small area of fill so it's not a big area where the old targets are waayyy down there. Great hunt guys
