It’s not “even a snake”- snakes are our friend…they keep the rodent and other pest population down! They also are never out to harm you, they only bite because they are terrified of us, and just defending themselves.

I take it you are the person that sees yourself as a cynic of cynics as they are too hopeful for you, Sol Dalaris. I believe humans are neither good nor evil due to factual evidence of this. Your view seems to be biased toward humanity being terrible which is a false statement. Of course, we aren't good by nature either. We exist perpetually in-between like most creatures. The only difference is how far to both extremes we exist. We choose to see the beauty in the world the most, ironically, when we also think that the world might end to our own creations such as nukes. We are walking contradictions like other creatures in this world, whether or not you choose to see us in an optimistic or pessimistic light, and we will never be perfectly good or perfectly bad.

@BattleAxeAlex There's nuance in everything. If you're not being foolish, he's right. Plus, it's not very nice to invade a bears space without permission (and it's pretty dumb even if you think you have its permission). But, kindness, experience, and some common sense can absolutely make wildlife feel less wild.
@lavone5541

@@battleaxealex4449 you are describing disrespectful behaviour to wild animals, how is this related? If you respect any animal’s cue, they wont bother. Animals only attack for survival and then leave. Not like people
@battleaxealex4449
@battleaxealex4449 Ай бұрын
@@lavone5541 lol this is an oldie, part of giving wildlife respect is giving them a healthy amount of space, if you tell people you just have to be nice you'll give people the wrong idea. things like feeding wild animals might seem nice but what happens when that animal see another person. rushing over thinking it might get food. i think you can put the rest of the pieces together.

Tony Phillips Just recently while servicing a pool in the country, two rabbits were curious as to what I was doing. I started talking to them, then they approached me and allowed me to give them some head and ear scratches. The were pushing each other away for more attention. It was quite the wonderful experience. I won't forget it.

We have the same wish dude. It’s a real shame so many view nature in such a negative light. Fear and ignorance keeps people from experiencing the truth of life. If only people would try to understand animals, they would see them react so differently to us.

My wife and i had the same experience in cummings creek near our home. We were perch fishing in may and the water snakes were trying to get in our wire fish bag so i caught a small perch and held it by the tail wiggling it in the water and one came up to me and took it, swam over to shore, ate it and then came back and wrapped around my leg wanting another! We were so amazed that we both started to feed him. After about 15 minutes we had 4 or 5 wanting fish. These were males because they were slim and smaller. Then a big female swam by and they all went for her wrapping around her as she swam towards the bank. The only thing we could figure is that the strange behavior was brought on by breeding season. It was really cool! And we have never had it happen again.
