True but I think that gives allot of realism to superman. If you had all those powers your not gonna constantly wanna work on skills. You are gonna get lazy and let your strength do all the work and go in gladiator style ready to go toe to toe. I see superman not as thinking man turned super hero but more as earths gladiator.

In an issue of Superman/Batman they touched upon this... Superman is able to draw an MRI quality photo of brain from a single glance while Batman is able to identify a computer virus and it's orgin with in said brain. Basically, Superman's brain can do things the average human brain can't do while Bats can get to conclusions faster... Read Post-Crisis Superman. He is not stupid and doesn't just "barge" into fights. He's Superman. He can kill with ease without thinking first.

yeah but a good amount of other superheroes have shown constantly that without powers they could still fuck shit up, whereas Superman has constantly been beaten or not able to do anything without his powers, it would be better if he used his intellect in combat but he rarely does it, he just goes barging in without having a real strategy or anything. Batman is the worlds greatest detective, escape artists, combat specialist, and strategists and knows chemistry, languages and technology well.

As time moves forward there will be many incarnations of the superman legend through film ,but i think they will never get it quite so right as SUPERMAN the MOVIE 1978.All my hopes for the MAN of STEEL 2013?.

Oh, I thought you said you're out? The Justice League animated series is non-canon to the original material in the comics. For example, in the comics, Superman can travel from one galaxy to another without the need of a spacesuit like he does in Justice League lol

I can give you a number of issues where Superman(without powers) has beat others. You do know that Batman taught Superman H2H combat and survival tactics if Blue K or Red Radiation was ever to happen again? I have read more issues of other superheros getting beat without their powers than I have Superman.

I hope Zack Snyder can articulate the film better than he can describe it.

Nationality doesn't matter. American and British actors can do a great job playing superheroes. Last time I checked, a lot of people liked Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, they really liked Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Chris Evans as Cpt. America. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Christian Bale as Batman and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, but being a British actor doesn't make that person better at playing a superhero than an American actor.

Don't blame Tobey, he was just doing his job. Blame it on the way he was written. Both Tobey and Andrew were great as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Nationality doesn't matter.

Another thing, I have nothing against Henry Cavill. I'm sure he's going to do a good job at playing Superman, but that doesn't mean that Christopher Reeve did a terrible job as Superman.

Superman is actually smarter than Batman when it comes to general knowledge and memory. On Krypton, Kryptonians have level 5 intellect whereas humans only have 1. Both Superman and Batman are both equal, because they have both beaten each other numerous times and both have saved each other numerous times. And when you argue that if Superman did not have his powers, he would be nothing. That's like saying every superhero without their powers would be useless. That's why we call them superheros!
