My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is.... I get to make Daddy's dressing before anyone gets here so I don't have to give my siblings the secret in making it hehehe. Daddy made it every year, He even had a large cafeteria chain wanting to pay him for the recipe and He refused the big bucks. This is our first year without Him making it but Thank God. All these years of me chopping up the veggies, being His sous chef and taster paid off because over the years when I didn't live near them I recreated His masterpiece and had people rave. Doing someones grunt work and making them feel like they deserve the status pays off so big in the end, bigger than you can imagine! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so jealous of yalls relationship, it is grand!

This is a Christmasy themed unit, with a couple of awesome nutcrackers to bring home, 140 dollars is a real deal and the rest of other finds in there should be able to cover the cost in substantial portion.

Pyrex is heat proof and when pens are old the ink dries up. I'm 81 and grew up doing my own jobs so bought tools to do them.

Everytime I watch this I roar with laughter, you two are so very amusing especially your story about McDonald's Denise. I must say that I have never seen nutcrackers like that in our area and I think they are great. I used to cross stitch and knit, I can't do them now but I still read which was always the first hobby to me. Thank you for helping me beat the blues, depression is kept at bay by my friends on KZfaq and my loved ones, I am so lucky to have you all in my life and I bless each and every one of you. Grandma could do a demonstration of how to use storage finds for something it wasn't intended for. i.e. a toolbox to store knitting, or use tools to break open the piggy bank. By the way, my son said she reminds him of me.

Just found you and will be watching often. Since Ashley loves all the holidays she should keep up a tree all year and change the decorations for each season and holiday. I know I'm late to the game but the wooden tool box you found, I don't think it's for tools or sewing. It looks like something that would hold art supplies, like brushes, paints, colored pencils and such. Something an artist would use. I don't know for sure because I can barely draw a stick figure.

Cords? I've seen a lot of mass-market cords and connectors in storage units, but I've never seen an expensive set. But you should still be alert and check anything that looks unusual, you might find a $500 set of interconnects or speaker cables some day.
