On July 1, 2022, Racine County Sheriff’s deputies observed a driver not wearing his seat belt in Raymond, WI. Upon making contact, he immediately put on his seat belt, affirming that it had been on the whole time. Nevertheless, it was only a few moments before he realized his fate.
The purpose of the featured content is to show the law enforcement interaction. It is NOT to publicly shame, ridicule, or degrade the individuals involved. Yeah, it's only $10 ticket here in WI for an adult not wearing a seatbelt... The downside to this is that WI does this "Click it or Ticket" thing were they will actually set up zones with cops on the side of the road to catch drivers without seatbelts and they will radio to squad cars down the road to pull them over and WI is one of the states were not wearing a seatbelt is a primary offense meaning you can be pulled over just for that reason. Fun fact New Hampshire doesn't even have a law for people over 18 being required to wear a seatbelt.

Unrelated but I got stopped by a police officer and they claimed that I didn’t have my seat belt on. I looked at them thinking is he seriously making this sh!t up? I straight up denied his claim and he had nothing to say anything after because he knew he lied. Later, he stated he smelled weed in the car, asking me if I smoked, and now I was like WTF is this person trying to do? Seriously? First the seat belt and now this BS? Unbelievable. I gave him my ID and he let me go after finding out he had nothing to pin me for. I never even did anything wrong to get pulled over in the first place. And they made all these senseless claims… for what? To waste my time and accuse me of BS? Yeah that’s not happening. What a disgrace. Some people are just in the wrong profession.
