Man's Best Friend is a 1993 American horror comedy film, directed and written by John Lafia. It stars Ally Sheedy and Lance Henriksen. It's messy when a genetically engineered dog escapes from the science facility where it was created. A family takes it in unaware of its deadly instincts which soon emerge. The scientist who created the dog tries to find it before its too late.

Man's best friend is technically a protest movie against vivisection and animal testing in general. Max isn't a villain but Lance Henriksen is.

When I was a kid me and my buddy used to walk past this house that had a dog that looked like the one in this movie. Always would bark at us. One day after watching this movie the dog legit ran into a fence picket and broke it in two. Scared the shit out of us, we ran all the way home.

Jesus finally someone remembers this movie! Every time I try to describe it to any of my friends I get looked at like it was all a fever dream. I loved this movie growing up. And I'm absolutely obsessed with the MonsterVision opening. MonsterVision (Joe Bob Briggs era) was one of the reasons I fell deeply in love with horror as a kid. This all makes me so happy to revisit

Tony isn't always like this and I feel early Rental Reviews they all had a problem with cutting each other off. As the show has gone on everyone has super good chemistry it's just that tony sometimes is a little pushy. Everyone has that one friend that's like that though

I love your videos. I can watch them all day both with my undivided attention and for background noise. Sometimes I fall into a rabbit hole with your videos. Except when you do these kinds of videos. These guys actually slow you down. Mike is wonderful. I love your chemistry with him, but you have no chemistry with any of the others. And this guy dominates too much and makes you a special guest in his video. You are fantastic. With Mike you're good. These others slow you down. And this guy is the worst.

Every year it seems Monster Madness scrapes the bottom of the barrel but I really like it that way, more and more obscure movies to watch! I 'find a copy' of every movie you guys review and watch a movie a night and then watch you video the next day. I know I have seen this movie years and years ago but you guys are pointing out a A LOT of stuff I don't remember. I'll be back tomorrow after watching this movie!

Great choice!This was a staple on early 90's HBO (or Showtime) and I was planted in front of the tube every time. Even as a teenager I thought it was hilarious in the best way possible.

As someone who had a tibetan mastiff once ... they're super friendly and cuddly and love and would do everything for you ... as long as you're friends, otherwise this movie is rather accurate. Lol, I remember this movie!! Me and my dad went to see it at the "dollar" theatre! It was one of the most ridiculous and silly movies I've ever seen and even as a kid with very low standards, I knew it was a bad movie I remember how excited and pumped up I was after hearing about the movie, and even though it turned out to be hilariously bad, I wasn't disappointed at all because it was just so ridiculous that I had a great time just making fun of it with my dad. Looking back now, I really think it was a big influence ony love for really bad horror movies! Also, I would love if reviewed the "Sleepaway Camp" movies! I remember the outhouse death scene from one of those movies being one of the sickest death scenes in a horror movie IMO. After seeing that as a kid, it made me never ever wanna use or even go near an outhouse. Lol I remember I had nightmares for a while after that, not because of the movie but just that particular scene!

I saw this on cable in the '90s. It is indeed carelessly bad and wilfully insane. It's worth watching for the cat eating scene and the other bits of madness mentioned in the review.
