Even the colour of the lobster looks better. It had really looked near death when he bought it but now Leon looks healthy. That's so crazy

Leon didn't "forget" how to use his claws. They were rubber banded closed and atrophied so he couldn't open them anymore. Brady basically did physical therapy with Leon.

They have recently added certain crustaceans to the list of them showing pain, intelligence and so forth. We are so cruel when preparing these creatures.. to boil them alive is a horrible way to die.

There’s a humane way to kill them before dropping them in boiling water. Chef usually stabs the lobster first, which doesn’t sound “humane.”

I've been watching Leon since the very first video. He is incredible, but it seems a lot of time money and work to keep a lobster. Worthwhile it seems but not for the faint of heart. I am always over joyed to see a new Leon video is up and ready to watch. As Mr. Spock would say. "Fascinating!"

Why do they put bands on the lobsters claws?

there are several reasons for this actually, for example Safety for Handlers, Protection for themselves when being transported in small containers and most importantly: Bands on the claws can be color-coded or marked to indicate different characteristics of the lobster, such as size, gender, or whether they are legal for harvest. This makes it easier for seafood processors and regulators to sort and handle lobsters accordingly:)

Leon's owner's name is Brady. I have never, in over a year of following him, ever heard him refer to himself as "Brad". Just an FYI.
