The episode was not a great example of "time correcting the anomalies". JFK was simply told to avoid Dallas. If the assassination was the work of a group of people most likely they would have adjusted to circumstances and carried out the assassination at a different location, as was mentioned. Let's not forget that Lucy's sister was erased from Lucy's timeline permanently. She could never recover that loss no matter what she did. My impression was that the agency's actions often had far reaching consequences but they often just glossed over the extent of the changes.

I loved Timeless. I was hoping the Quantum Leap reboot would've taken ques from it. Imagine if he leapt into the body of a soldier that originally died in a plane crash but lives. Then you find out the soldier was Clint Eastwood. Or some one who escaped from a serial killer like Dahmer which led to him getting caught. Real people real events

Furthermore, the burden of proof falls on whoever makes the claim, so it's honestly up to you to make the research. Joseph Kennedy went to the US Navy and became a pilot. He was killed when a drone he was piloting blew up. He wasn't in the Marines. John was also in the Navy commanding a PT boat

It's what we, as a historian, would call a 'counter factual hypothesis'. While this is interesting it is impossible to know the true implications of a singular event such as this triggering a chain of countless unforeseen 'ripples'. Put simply, change 1 thing and you change everything. It's been said that if you move a pebble on the beach you set up a different pattern and change everything.
