first what was the point of the machine telling them they are part of a game if soon after a voice was going to speak to them anyway... and they already lost the first game. the old man volunteered and the rules stated no volunteers so instead of killing him and letting them move on to the next game anyway they should have randomly killed 2+ others. if just the start is this bad cant even imagine what the rest is like. edit: oh n nvm the fact that some game runners showed their faces right from the start...

this reminds me of another movie called nine dead, the killer, spoiler was an old man who son died from AIDS, and he gathered everyone who was involved whether directly or indirectly. A man who robbed a store, a guy who illegally sold the robber a gun, A strip club owner and loan shark who the robber owes money to, a Chinese store owner who mistaken the identity of the robber with the son, an assistant district attorney who fixed evidence to win a case against the son, a police officer who helped her(unknowingly) fix evidence, a priest who hears the son's confession, a pedophile who raped him in prison infecting him, and a health insurance executive who denies the payment for AIDS treatment due to having a criminal record. Each one had reasons for why they did all they did, at the end the killer points out if at least one of them had done something differently, his son would have lived.

These is a messed up movie.
