Couples things to address here: 1. Hojlund is absolutely overpriced for his current ability but also, name a better option on the market, the striker market is kinda bleak atm. 2. Amad Diallo plays as a RW and Garnacho plays as a LW, so neither will get in each others way.

Martial is an easy target because he’s always injured, which is super frustrating because he’s actually a decent player but never available. Scored important goals when he was available last season. I get the point since availability is the best ability a player can have

If he's anything like Martial without the injuries and under a priceless development manager like Ten Hag, with the right setting and growth, he will ABSOLUTELY be a 20 goal a season striker for Manchester United. This is my gut instinct, but Højlund is genuinely going to flourish if Erik stays for another 4 successful years. He is not being bought as a complete package but you will eventually see how good he can be.

Martial have 141 g/a for United and the only reason he is not concidered top class is because of his atitude and lately, injuries. This was Manchester United's best alternative option in the transfer market for a striker, at least signing Rasmus Hojlund is a better option than signing another Wout Weghorst as a panic buy for the number 9 role. He's young and is very promising, but they are paying 65 million for a striker who only scored just 10 goals and for someone who's 20 years old those are good numbers but for a club like Manchester United, he has a great long term future for them, in the present he isn't proven enough for the premier league. We've seen it with other transfers in the premier league over the last 12 months, clubs paying lots of money for unproven players and then act like boom success is gonna come right away, Darwin Nunez at Liverpool, Mudryk at Chelsea, Antony at Manchester United, those are players who had a difficult time last season and that was because you've paid money for players who at the time weren't ready for the premier league and it'll take time for these players to come good if that ever happens next season or in the future. Rasmus Hojlund they had to sign him, and Manchester United cannot expect him to be a hit right away, in this league players can hit the ground running right away when joining from another league Erling Haaland Mohamed Salah Bruno Fernandes Luis Diaz are prime examples of this while others struggle to not only perform but get up to full speed. I think he'll do well for Manchester United if they're patient and play to his full strengths and know that with him up top, it's a long term project.

I watch Serie A regularly, I think he is 3 seasons away realistically from becoming a 15+ goals a season striker. He should have stayed and kept developing.

Only difference between United and other teams is we pay stupid amounts of money for them. Højlund for 60 million is a lot. But especially in today's market and with strikers being hard to get. It could be worse. Also we don't even know how much of that will include add-ons and stuff. Also you can make any deal look way worse in hindsight. Hindsight is 20/20. DDG was amazing for what we needed at the time. Martial was amazing for what we needed at the time. Only problem with him is injuries. Not exactly something that you can predict.

still annoys me that rival fans don't bother to research why we didn't get Haaland, Mino Raiola and Haaland were demanding a release clause in the deal that utd refused, the same release clause that City activated in his dortmund deal. So if he'd signed for us and played under Ole, he would have brought up some goals but we still wouldn't have won anything major and City would have just snapped him from us like they did with Dortmund - it would have been humiliating.

Hojland will be bought as a future striker and next season Kane as a free agent who Hojland will learn under and will be ready in 2-3 years. Hojland will also help Kane rest as Kane is getting older.

I think Man U shouldve opted for some of the following Strikers: -Evan Ferguson (somewhat premier league proven, great talent, tall frame) -Nicolas Jackson (had a great season with villareal, tall frame) -Elye Wahi(cheaper than hojlund, had a great season with montpellier, still developing ) -Hugo Ekitike (could develope into quality striker) -Niclas Füllkrug(had a fantastic season, international player, experienced player, great finishing, tall frame) -Patson Daka (somewhat premier league proven, great pace) -Goncalo Ramos (great finishing, tall frame, good statistics) I still believe Hojlund is a promising Talent, but common 60 million....

I understand the sentiment your making but the Berbatov mention was weak. Berbatov was sold in 2008 and was a success for United. Kane didnt arrive on the scene at spurs properly until 2014. As a dane myself.. i know that he’s a good player with a potential to become a big striker. But he’ll not do it in the prem right now, he has the talent. But man u expect him to go in and score 25-30 goals all comp next season. And it ain’t happening.. he’ll probably score 7-8 prem goals, 2-3 Champions League goals and a couple of cup goals.
