4 жыл бұрынMarcus Rashford’s brace ruined Jose Mourinho’s Old Trafford return as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United ran out deserved victors against Tottenham.
Less than a year after being sacked as background backbiting compounded poor performances, Mourinho returned to the Old Trafford touchline at a time when pressure was increasing on his successor following the club’s worst start to a season since 1988.
The Portuguese received a warm reception at his old stomping ground but Solskjaer’s name filled the air on Wednesday night, when Rashford goals either side of a fine Dele Alli equaliser sealed United a much-needed 2-1 victory against Spurs.

Happy Healthy I know mate ! We have saw glimpses of his quality but the best thing has been his extended run in the team and we are reaping the rewards. He is reading the game much better and shielding the ball well where before he would be brushed of it, his passing distribution is excellent I just hope he can start to add a few goals to his game, Rashford so much better on the wing Man too. I’m feeling pretty positive at the mo and I can see the identity and culture olé wants to create.

A. AQ He wasn’t parking the bus. Actually Tottenham edged it on possession and most of the game they were chasing for a winning goal but Ole got his formation and tactics right. Man Utd nullified Tottenham in pretty much every department But tbf Jose has only been in the job for like 2 weeks and he’s having to turn around a difficult situation. I didn’t see a Mourinho team out there. In someways Man Utd looked more like a Mourinho team, especially with the defensive discipline of the defence line and the holding midfielders. Was always a game for Ole to lose.

Even Solskjaer knew to use McTominay more. All Mourinho did was moan. I don't rate Solskjaer as a coach but I tell you what, he doesn't moan, he gets on with it. And he pops a few surprises every now and then.

Mourinho is a genius at protecting his players. Genius. The ease with which he crafts a story to take pressure off his players with focus on storylines that stir controversy with a subtle dig or make the opponent look bad, as well as subtly telling his team what he wants from them... ...is sublime. Parijat Saha from Mourinho’s post match press conference last year when United lost 3-0 to spurs. He was referring to how he has won the premier league 3 times and all the other managers combined had 2 (pelligrini 1, pep 1). Obviously it’s different now since City won last year’s league but pep only had 1 at that time

Can we all agree that Mourinho gifted his old club as a welcome back present? Normally, when he loses he would be pissed and pulled out all stops at any costs to win a game. We all know he is a serial winner. Manchester United will not see another gift like that from MouMou to get them up the league table. You can see he wasn't stressed out on a loss today. I love Manchester United but, I'm still a MouMou's fan first. I think it's the passion but not today and I'm not mad at him for doing so. Great respect for the former clubs.

I think losing this game was a normal result. Of course United were going to show up, like they always do when they want to prove some point. That's the only time when the players put everything in the performance, like their lives depend on it. Same thing happened against PSG, Liverpool, etc... but I think Tottenham will play the long game better and potentially salvage the 4th place.

The love for mctominay since he started man hes amazing even when he played against psg he just has that quality of being so composed and can draw fouls when in trouble.
