Sometimes when people defend the indefensible they end up looking bad. I agree with Dad there is no defense there is no excuse and we just move on it's best to say nothing at all when the situation is as bad as it was last Sunday. Tonight's game was nice to see the players who needed to get goals, got goals. Cheers Lewis and Dad

A comfortable win in the end, and the 3 goal difference for the second leg should be enough to see United through to the quarters. After a great start, and a good strike from Rashford, United created so many chances that they should have added 2-3 more goals before Betis equalized. Again, another poor goal conceded, and again down the left hand side of our defence. I reckong that 60/70% of goals conceded by the Reds this season have come down that side. Great start to the second half with a great strike from Antony, and then a terrific header from Fernandes. But after that, despite a really dominating performance, United squandered so many gilt edged chances with Antony being the main culprit. Just before the end, Pellistri did a lovely little run leaving the full back in his wake, and from the cross and a rebound, Weghorst finally got the goal he so desperately needed. I can't criticise the lad to be honest - I would if he wasn't getting in the positions to miss, but imho, he does whatever job EtH gives to him - otherwise I have no doubt that he would not be selected. On to the game with Southampton on Sunday, and we need a performance that will give us the 3 points. Next Thursday there must be no complacency just because we have a 3 goal advantage. A good bounce back after that awful, dreadful second half performance at Anfield.

Not sure why you didn't expect it to be a difficult game. They just drew with Real Madrid and that was off the back of three straight sins in La Liga. They're pushing for top 4. I think we did brilliantly to beat them 4-1.
