I absolutely love this deck. My version is running crush the weak to deal with mono white and wolves. Against mono green, it still does really well. The divides make short work of trolls & tokens made by their plainswalker of choice. Decks with heavy removal are still quite annoying though. You can't really win if you can't keep a dragon on the field.

Man that dragon curves *so good* with hungry for more 😳 Turn 4 you play the manaform and turn 5 you have him, two 3/1 with trumple and lifelink and the 2/2 + 3/3 flying illusion :| It's a shame you've got to exile them though, they would have worked so well with a meathook, but you're still stealthing from a 4 damage attack to a 17 one 😱

Would say agro player is very prone to roping you, its like they are entitle to win just because of it. Does not matter if it is mono red or white.

Wonder how good this is with Chariot.... The exiling at the end of turn isn't an ability of the token, it's of the Hellkite. If you copy tokens you make....you'd get to keep them. 🤔

Manaform Hellkite is also bonkers with Alchemist's Gambit. You can cast the Gambit for 3 and still win the game the following turn.

So right about people roping. These guys are playing the “best” deck in the format in mythic and get upset when they lose the game. I’d be so embarrassed to be caught roping someone on stream especially.

I love that you are bringing new flavors into this izzet deck. I gotta say I miss playing Ultimatum decks. I DO NOT miss mono-red though. The new toys are pretty sweet though if you can get them to stick.

turn 3 sweeper is discarding magnum opus on turn 2 for a treasure and playing draconic intervention on 3rd. I run 4 of each.

Thought Hellkite was nuts when I first read it. Tryna find the deck that gets the most out of it. It's actually won me games on the defensive end as well, turning my 1-2 mana instants into blockers. Such a fun card to play with.

I haven't been playing arena lately, but I did play Manaform Hellkite in a big spell Izzet deck in commander and MAN did that boi do work.

Been tampering with a snow lifelink/gain orzhov list with book of exalted deeds. the faceless havens are also vampires which get buffed by edgar/can attach the book to them while your lifegain in tandem with cleric class can proc the angel creation when not attached as an platinum angel. I took inspiration from your old orzhov book list but with more emphasis on lifegain/utilizing the angel creation side which got a lot of support through new vampires /sorin . also meathook combos well with cleric class which can sometimes proc a lot of +1/1 counters. Seems to stabilize well vs aggro so far. What about orzhov with facebook combo/ faithbound judge to have two "passive" win cons in a full control shell?

CGB would love to see you build a boros deck, least popular color combo post rotation. Angelfire Ignition is one of the most underrated cards in standard and Showdown of the Skalds is still amazing

Alchemist Gambit is sick in this deck, the 3 cost side can basically just win games outright if you have a hellkite on field. Burn down the house is also a great pair with Hellkite (using the devil option obviously....while letting you compete better with MonoW and Aggro R.)

I noticed that the end of the video came very abruptly for me. I think I figured out why I felt like that - your outro is the same as your Intro! It's jarring, like the video is beginning again from nothing. Play your intro in reverse, get an outro-y soundtrack, and it might ease the complaints for when you don't have a proper outro. I do like the way you do the new intros btw - the little teasers of the games gets me excited about the video, and even losses feel less like bummers. Absolutely professional storytelling!

Let's try this in explorer with spit fire and dragon hoard, I never got to try much Alrund and goldspan because broke and overdone but maybe in explorer there's a kind of ok place for it.

If you use alchemist gambit for 3 it usually can close out the game

Killing only one thing with the smashing in this game against mono white just to get that one turn token was a weird play I mean just make 2 extra mana and blow up the adversary as well. also you were so close to losing because you thought about pointing the spikefield at face, which would have cost you 1 extra mana for the shield, which in turn would have turned off epiphany for the game, scary stuff

Just played about 10 games with this... and never once created a dragon illusion. Manaform had done nothing but eat removal. I am gonna drop Manaform and the eggs in favor of more removal, countermagic and sweepers. Just protect that Goldspan.

Haha ropers are the worst kind of mtgA players. Crim from mtg goldfish has a great take on them. RELISH IN THEIR PAIN AND SALTYNESS. Know that on the other end of the internet aether your opponent is sad and mad and teary-eyed because of your superior MTG skills! I have been playing magic for 27 years and take extra turn cards are never healthy, specially in standard and specially when there is a dragon with haste that makes 2 mana. I swear just when I think the standard format can't get worse they print some rediculas card in an allready pushed color. Standard is so bad right now. If u aren't playing white, green, or Izzit u might as well not play at all. Unless u want to loose over and over. At least back in the day the removal was as powerful as the threats.
