This video shows some clips of a lesson I had with Flo and her lovely young event mare, Pizza, who gets very anxious and difficult to handle when her buddy is taken away at home and at events.
Separation anxiety can be a very difficult issue to fully solve. However, by teaching your horse some key exercises when their adrenaline is low, you can use them to successfully manage your horse when they are stressed. Over time, with continued practice and training, your horse's anxiety will lessen and dissipate, leaving you with a calmer, more relaxed horse in all situations.
