Every other season where City won the league they were already top or 2nd. They're 3rd and have to rely on both Liverpool and Arsenal dropping points, which isn't going to happen. One of them might but not both. And City themselves could drop points in their remaining games, they have Villa still to play who've already beaten City once this season, and then Spurs who drew with City at the Etihad.

9 games is not that many games, we're into April games now and City still have Villa and Spurs to play, both of whom have taken points off of Man City already this season (Villa beat them 1-0 in December, Spurs drew 3-3 with them the game before that).

I don't think City are out of it - I am gooner and if you think it's all over for City then you are deluded. Just look at the fixtures. Liverpool are away to Man Utd next week and have three tough away games out of the last five - away to West Ham , Villa and Everton and they will be fighting like devils for one reason or another. Arsenal have some very tough games too so it's not a done deal.

Three points down with 6 weeks and 9 matches to go and they're out of the title race -- please! The draw to Arsenal definitely set them back a bit and lowered their odds of winning the title, but we're talking City here with the talent they have and Pep at the helm. Liverpool are top now, but I'd argue that Arsenal has been the best team since the beginning of the year and they are just 2 back of Liverpool with 9 games left. I'd wager that the top three at the end will be Arsenal #1, Liverpool #2 and City #3, but with as much left in the season it could be the reverse of that or any combination of the three. All it would take is for Liverpool and Arsenal to stumble just a bit and City could waltz to the title as usual.
