As reeder we myself, I would have given a red card, even though there is a genuine intention to play the ball, Hemp had broken out and a 1v1 against the keeper, it depends on wether she had not directly control over ball at moment of the foul, but I is something I would find very unlikely.

It wasn't a red card because a Penalty was awarded (Double Jeopardy). Had the free kick been given outside the box, she would have gotten a Red card for denying a goal scoring chance. With the score as it was, Liverpool probably prefer the wrong penalty and a yellow to a free kick and red card.

@@GermanChickenwing Actually, I played football in the UK as well as supported it for a number of years. I was a referee for over 20 years and helped run a League for several years, being the President prior to moving to the USA. Double jeopardy exixts in both the Men's game and the Women's game. If a defender fouls an attacker enroute to the goal with no one else but the keeper to beat, they will be given a Red card and sent off. However if the foul occurs in the penalty area and a penalty is awarded, then the defender is only given a Yellow card as the attcking team is given a chance on goal with the penalty. So foul and free kick = Red card vs foul and penalty = yellow card. Giving a penalty and sending off a player is seen as punishing a team twice, hence the tem double jeoplardy. So I ask you.... When did YOU start watching football?

I was at the match, when the foul happened I never even considered that a it was in the box, really surprised that a penalty was given. It was also clearly a red card offence, goalkeeper deliberately took her out, she was on the ground for 5 minutes before they took her off.

I hope that that is not the case, I hate it when referees start compensating

I was at the match, in the second half the wind started blowing really strongly and bringing heavy rain at times.

Chelsea in women is like City in men, everyone knows that they end up lifting the trophy.

She receives a lot of hard challenges, which might get classed as fouls on other players, but not when she gets them.

I'd say boys U-12 level... at most. I love the superlatives of the commentator. The Coué method. I decided to give it a try once more, after years. Still not convinced at all. Against Men Premier League, at least 50-0. I don't think they even try. For example, if you watch a tennis match, an athletic event, or a judo competition, they may have a lower level than the men, but they fight just as hard, and it's just as fun to watch. Here, on primary school playgrounds, the game is not worse. (the truth is not sexist)
