Manchester United have decided to sack Erik ten Hag after the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Ten Hag, who joined the club two years ago, is set to depart after enduring a fraught campaign. United finished eighth in the Premier League, their lowest league finish since 1990, and their hopes of qualifying for Europe rest on them beating City at Wembley on Saturday. A well-placed source said that even winning the Cup would not save Ten Hag. The decision to change manager will be the most significant move made by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his allies since Ineos took a minority stake and control of football operations. United have identified Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino, Kieran McKenna, Graham Potter and Thomas Frank as potential replacements.

You guys are really weird. You have been singing all season for him to be sacked, now he has been sacked, yet you guys complain. What exactly do you guys want? Some of you want to use arteta as an example of patience but the same fanbase doesn't have that same patience. This mess is the creation of both the owners and the fanbase. @@olodiandrew219 only a small minority of us Man United fans wanted Erik to go, but I wanted him to stay because it's clear that ten Hag needs another season with all of his players NOT being injured for months on end, and we've been sacking and replacing managers for, what? 11 years now? It has to end!

@@dauroRL -Check the stats, Erik Ten Hag actually has the highest win percentage of any Man.U manager. Even higher than Fergie (yup that stat suprised me too but it's true). -Last season he saved us and qualified for champions league. -He has had more injureis than any team this year and mainly had to play without a defence (no manager would have been able to deal with that situation) - Brought us to 3 finals in less than 2 years! - Won the Carabao Cup in the first season in charge (first silverware the club had in 6 years). - He has given lots of youngsters a chance to break through like Mainoo, Garnacho etc.

@@JaytotheJolly -win percentage doesn't matter. Michael Carrick has the highest win percentage. He hasn't lost a single game so why's he not in charge? - That Carabao Cup run was too easy. - We almost lost to Coventry in the FA Cup, that's embarrassing. -It doesn't matter what he did last season because we're right back to where we started. The FA Cup only saved us from staying out of Europe. -We have no game plan, we have no style of play. All we do is park the bus against the big teams, we'll never win the league like that. - Man United are a mid table team at best. Even a midtable club can win the FA Cup. Besides, City weren't at their best because they just came off of a difficult title race. 8/10 times, Pep's team are winning that game.

Fact: almost every great british united player (and manager) of yesteryear has had allegiances to Liverpool,Man City or Leeds Utd. This is why Wilcox is perfect for Utd, having coached Man City, captained Leeds and played under reds legend Dalglish. Similarly, milner would be a brilliant leader to have in the dressing room as Evans departs.

THOMAS FRANK • Never won a trophy as manager in his life POCHETTΙΝΟ • 5 years at Spurs, no trophy. • Challenged Leicester for the league and came 3rd • Bottled Ligue 1 to Lille • Bottled a 2-0 tie lead against Real Madrid with 30 minutes to go, despite having Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe. • Sacked by Chelsea after just one season Meanwhile, Man Utd were trophyless for 6 years, then Erik ten Hag came in and won TWO trophies in TWO years whilst beating Klopp & Pep, and despite his team suffering more injuries than ANY other team. I'm going to be so disappointed in INEOS if we sack this man for Poch or Frank. In fact, not even for anyone else.

2 draws, 1 win for Liverpool, 2 win for MU. Last season MU were in third place above Liverpool, this season Liverpool are in third. In these two seasons, ETH's MU was no worse than Klopp's Liverpool.
