People aren’t angry about the question itself. It’s the fact ten hag in depth explained how he had 40+ injuries this season so he couldn’t find consistency and then 10 seconds later you proceeded to ask him why he couldn’t consistency. You weren’t listening you were just waiting for your turn to speak.

it's not even that, theres a time and a place, right in the middle of a trophy celebration just isnt it, its a time to be positive. not start going at a manager and asking if whether he knows hes about to be fired, jesus christ.

United didn’t have 40 injuries this season 🤣 maybe including reserves, u21s and youth academy 😅 klopp found consistency with kids and won a cup with them, ten hag couldn’t find consistency because he didn’t pitch the right players. It’s on him and him only

@@lilyute5177 ETH literally just won the cup with two teenagers scoring. Great thing about PL is that injury records are available - it’s over 50 this year. Yes other clubs have had bad injuries however we’ve had no LB all season, a CB crisis all season and at times no or only one fit striker (Holjund). Add in players refusing to play (Sancho), poor player conduct (Belfast), zero Jan investment despite the squad issues above and the takeover - Klopp hasn’t had to contend with that level of issue. Plus he has a stable structure that he’s helped build for almost a decade.

Sorry guys, I love the show but this is a bad take. There is a time and a place for the criticism. Immediately after a FA cup win is not it. I think the United Fans as a whole are defensive about this, is because they've suffered all season with poor performances and this is their moment to enjoy. Your questions definitely brought the mood down.

@@theunitedvoice544 yeah this podcast is a form of social media. Obviously there are people online shouting into the void, making bait posts for reacts and African fans who dont know anything about football talking nonsense. But its also full of fans who are expressing their opinions. It's telling that I've barely heard a United fan call for ETH's head or turn on him. Shows the fans are actually more patient and reasonable than this lot are making out. They also try to claim that the only reason ETH has fan backing is because its like a hive mentality "your attacking our club". Nah its cos United fans know the circumstances hes been working under. Hes had Ronaldo throwing his toys, Greenwoods private life debacle, Sancho having a clear mental health crisis (could make the case for Rashfords form being down to mental health) and Anthony having similar domestic abuse issues with women and off field stuff. ETH did sign Anthony to be fair but theres been unprecedented off field issues with star players combined with the injury crisis. I hope Ineos give him one more year.

I watched both the BBC and iTV interviews again for clarity. I still think the iTV interview was better in the context of the moment. Both praised ten Hag for the performance and also asked tough questions but the iTV interview just felt more humane, more praise and less tough questions taking into consideration this was a huge accomplishment for this group of players and their coach. I liked the way ten Hag handled himself, the Dutch directness at its best. Man United fan or not, whoever watched the game should hear a post game interview that focused more on the performance and less on the overall performance of the season. Enjoy the moment Man U 🎉

How about the Dalot “that’s not what your manager just said” comment Gary? Serious question. That wasn’t a journalist/commentator question. It was snarky, gotcha comment. On ten Hag - I don’t recall you bringing up the 115 charges just after Pep won the FA Cup last year. The timing of the comments on how bad the season had been (and it was) just moments after the team lifted the cup was poor. Then Simon Stone doubled down online. We can talk numbers of injuries and compare numbers to other teams, but they were mostly in the back line resulting in the likes of Casemiro playing as centre half - so there’s going to be an impact. Interesting to hear Shearer here seemingly forgetting he’s employed by a publicly funded corporation when the public question his comments results in “you’ve got to put up with shit sometimes”. His in game commentary was fine, but his post-match comments were ridiculous (and here too). Ps not sure if you’ve noticed, but the criticism of the post-match interview was not all United fans. I read plenty coming from fans of other teams - especially on the BBC sport site. Just shows how bad it was.

Saying all teams had injuries takes away from the fact, no team has suffered from them like Utd this season. When VVD was injured, LFC wrote off a whole season and it was seen as a legitimate reason. Utd have been missing pretty much their whole back line and second choice back line all season. He has a squad with one fit striker who is young and new to the PL. Been handed the club in turmoil and it was never going to be a straight forward upward trajectory. Yet, 2 trophies in 2 seasons. He explained the reasons and then was asked, why can't you do this? And then Gary made a joke about getting the FA Cup off him as he might head off with it the day after. A wee getting fired joke. ITV handled the same questions and subjects with a lot more professionalism and tact. I thought Alan called the game superbly and the complaint is only about this one instance.
