So far there’s there is this overarching theme of “what does it mean to be a mandalorian?” Episode 1: Shows it’s the person not the Armor, but what you do with that amor. Episode 2: The creed he supposedly follows says to honor his word. Episode 3: On the flip this same creed says to never take off their helmets yet every other Mandalorian doesn’t follow it. This entire season is building up on Din questioning his beliefs and perceptions on mandalorian culture

NO WAY! Let me just start off by saying that I appreciate the translations you do fr these videos because I would not have brought this up other wise! That translation to “of course I still love you” is most likely a reference to spacex and how they land their rockets! What’s even crazier is that while watching this and when the reverse thrusters turned on last second to soften their landing I literally tubers to my brother and said “that’s an Elon like landing right there” no lie. Exactly what happened. So I love that this translation and Easter egg exists because that is EXACTLY what I was thinking when I say it. God I love Star Wars .

Also the piece of hull falling off as the Razor Crest jumps to hyperspace may be an homage to Firefly and Serenity as many folks keep noting a slight resemblance between the Razor Crest and the Serenity, and Serenity lost hull paneling at the start and end of the Serenity movie. When it happened in The Mandalorian, I immediately said "What was that?!" just like Mal Reynolds, and I'm kinda disappointed the Mando didn't say it too!

The piece falling off the Razorcrest at the end of the episode is a throwback to Serenity, same thing happens at the end when they launch the rebuilt ship and at the beginning of the movie also.

That last scene was an homage to Firefly. In Serenity, the movie, the final scene shows a piece coming off and Mal says : "what was that?"

I think the Children of the Watch must have broken away before the purge of Mandalore, or descended from a group that did, because Din wore his helmet since he was a child, and that's longer ago than the purge, right?

4:38 - Both George Lucas and Phil Tippett dismissed the claim that the Imperial Walkers are inspired by the container cranes at the port of Oakland, calling it a 'myth'. True to its 'mythical' status however, it sort of sticks in the mind of both fans and makers of The Mandalorian, as proven in this episode.

The LAAT was a poor choice of vehicle to underline in-space flight, it was used exclusively for in-atmosphere troop transport/combat and could not fly in space.

the re-entry crash is a direct callback to Apollo13, with the heat shield and melting ice/condensation, since that was directed by Ron Howard, and this episode was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard

Some stuff I noticed: Pretty sure Corvus is a nod to Inferno Squad’s ship in Battlefront II The blasters they find in the cargo hold look a lot like what the shoretroopers use in Rogue One Titus Welliver also had a brief role in Agents of Shield as agent Blake

I'm surprised the Serenity references weren't highlighted. Razorcrest looks very similar to Serenity and both start with a hot atmospheric reentry and end with the ship flying off into the distance with a little piece falling off. As I watched the episode I could hear Capt. Reynolds dialogue in my head. "My ship doesn't crash..." and "What was that?" respectively.

The Razor Crest leaving a piece behind after jumping to light speed and Din Djarin's shakiness in the Creed are a magnificent parallel. Also, my buddy thought we might see Slave I tailing The Crest, similar to 'Empire'. One can dream!
