@@aryanpathania818 That’s not true and you are oversimplifying it all. Mandeali, Kahluri, Kangri and Gaddiyali are all Trigarthic languages but you they haven’t all come from Kangri. They have many similarities but also many differences.

@@aryanpathania818 Bro those regions in lower Himachal didn’t speak Kangri either. I am using Trigarthic here to refer to all the lower Himachali languages just like the languages of upper Himachal can be collectively called the Mahasu-Kullu group. Even in Mandi they have Suketi and Mandeali Pahadi aside from Mandeali which are not even mutually intelligible with Kangri. Neither are Kahluri and Gaddiyali dialects of Kangri. Upper Solan has Kiunthali (also spoken in lower Shimla and more purely) along with Baghati and Baghilyani which are Mahasuic although these two are moreso transitional between the Trigarthic and Mahasu-Kullu group; but alongside that they also have Handuri/Hinduri spoken in central-lower Solan which itself is very similar to Kahluri and Mandeali. They are not dialects of Kangri but just neighbouring languages and you are underestimating their differences. Also people in Chamba speak Chambeali and also have other languages too out of which you only seem to be aware of Pangwali- Pangwali is a Chenabic Pahadi language related to the languages of the Chenab Valley of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly Paddari. Alongside that they also have Churahi. You already know about Gaddiyali in Bharmour I am sure.

@@aryanpathania818 Because they are neighbouring languages so you can understand them to an extent. You can’t understand other dialects of Mandeali and then there are Suketi and Mandeali Pahadi too. They aren’t completely the same as Mandeali, like you are saying, but Mandeali speakers can understand it a lot more than you can. I can give you samples. And regarding Solan, it’s the upper regions of Solan where they speak Mahasui dialects like Kiunthali and Baghati as well as Baghilyani- Baghati and Baghilyani however are more so intermediates between the Trigarthic and Mahasu-Kulu group. There is also Handuri spoken in central Kahlur that is related to Kahluri. What do you mean by a “trigarthic dialect of pahari”? Pahari isn’t even a single language but an umbrella term encompassing many languages, many unrelated, spoken in Himalayan regions of India as well as Nepal, so you calling Kangri a dialect of “pahari” doesn’t make sense. And I only used the term Trigarthic here to collectively refer to the languages of lower Himachal just like upper Himachali languages can belong to the Mahasu-Kullu group- it’s to avoid having to name all those languages separately. It’s not even an established group yet so your statement “Kangri itself is a trigarthic dialect of pahari and is the oldest” doesn’t make any sense.

It’s okay to call them sister languages hence they are in one group but you did earlier claim they were dialects of Kangri which isn’t true. And there’s nothing established on which amongst these is the oldest so refrain from determining that without evidence. And they do have many differences alongside their similarities. You can’t understand them fully.

And Mandeali Pahadi is still very different from Palampuri Kangri not mutually intelligible so I don’t know why you are making things up. Regarding Kahluri and Mandeali, sure the intelligibility is very high which was never a matter of debate but it also depends on the dialect as one. You will understand someone from the border regions a lot more compared to other regions. Yes I used Trigarthic to collectively refer to those languages but you literally said Kangri was the oldest dialect of Trigarthic dialect of “pahari”, statement that doesn’t make sense, whilst claiming you have “researched” on these languages. Stop annoying me with baseless questions. Nobody is denying Kangri is old but you are making your own statistics up and claiming which is the “oldest” and what not. You have literally just shown your lack of knowledge on these languages previously. And stop spamming me with multiple replies.
