I just have to say, thank you for this. You touched on my personal story a little bit, but after all of these years of harassment and bullying from this person your video has made me feel a little more validated. I know the way she treated me was completely psychotic and unfair, but people like that don’t just do it to one person, she has hurt so many other people and it’s time that she has her behaviors come to light. I only ever reacted to her publicly when she made it public, but I have always tried so hard to take the highroad and I knew karma would come full circle one day. Seems like it finally has 👏🏻🖤

I am honestly horrified. The racist mockery of Asian people really got to me. As someone that has English as a second language I have never understood why people like us are made fun of for speaking with an accent. We have travelled to another country, often learned new skills and an entire new language for someone to mock the effort we have put into being able to adapt to the country we moved to. Anyone with a braincell would realise how impressive it is to be bilingual, trilingual or hell even know multiple languages. People like her are the reason why Asian communities get targeted, mocked and even unalived. Thank you for calling this out

I recently learnt about how people are proud of their first language, they have a much better chance of mastering a foreign language! Mocking people for their accent is narrow-minded/mean-spirited/counterproductive and I dont understand how people cannot appreciate different languages. I always have such a good time comparing sayings/proverbs/words with my friends who have a different mothertongue (comparing as in 'how would you say that' and 'oh thats so cool you have word for that thing, we have to make a whole sentence to explain it). Language is fascinating and accents are just a reminder of how amazing languages actually are
@brumella
@brumella 2 жыл бұрын
Jelly monolinguals are like that everywhere. In my country (Spain) it's even "funnier". We have no time to be racist towards foreigners because we are too busy being assholes with each other. People don't usually make fun of foreigners speaking Spanish but they do mock native speakers of the other co-official languages (Catalan, Euskera and Galego). For example, I have to hear over and over again that Galego is worthless and that it's only useful for speaking with cows, since one of our main industries is breeding cows for milk 😊🔪🔪🔪 Jelly Monolinguals™️✨

Absolutely! I don’t know her personally but I used to work with someone EXACTLY like her: a hun-bot, fat-phobic, racist, anti-mask, anti-vax, suffers from “main character” syndrome, about as real as her bleached-hair and she was ABSOLUTELY enabled by those around her. Initially, this girl was nice and mildly amicable enough but as SOON AS SHE felt comfortable, her true colors came out and we all witnessed how awful she was. If ANYONE ever corrected her or said anything contrary to her beliefs, she would fight dirty by calling those people “haters” and she would say horrible, personal things she knew about said people- things that had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the topic being discussed! Oh, and she often told us she had her “LaWyEr” on “stand-by” at all times. 😑 she herself would say, “I have no friends” and after getting to know her, it was REALLY obvious why. I’m actually shocked this wasn’t HER being called out in this video cuz they even look and talk alike! 😳 just awful

Okay that first clip has me fuming. This is a story I originally saw in a tumblr post, but I independently looked into it and it does seem to be true. According to a BBC article from 2015, 51% of nail techs in the US are of Vietnamese descent, and many are descended from a group of 20 refugee women. Aided by the actress Tippi Hedren, those women transformed the industry. They lost so much, they fled to a new country, and they created something incredible. Seeing some ignorant, privileged vanilla husk of a woman make fun of that is absolutely disgusting.

She has one now apparently but it kinda irritates me that she got one after being caught for doing hair many years without one. As for her reviews, I can almost bet a lot of her 5 star reviews are employees or downline that were told(intimidated) to post good reviews. Also, I have family in Utah and know plenty of wonderful people who live there but it seems that you are either a great person or just plain awful if you live in Utah, no in between! People who have had her hair ruined need to get the name of her insurance company and file a claim against her. Go to another salon professional, have them write a letter about the damage, what it will take to restore it, before and after pictures, etc, and submit that. Also, if you are doing "corrective" color and she doesn't have you sign a waiver, there's no excuse for things like "previous color'" messing up hair.
@bobbiedaniel9347
@bobbiedaniel9347 2 жыл бұрын
You're totally right on the first half and that's great advice! However, I work for a large salon/beauty retailer and we do major color corrections all the time and do not use a waiver. The stylist will walk the guest through any and everything that could happen and if the guest agrees, the company is not liable past a reasonable point if it's 'messed up' aka not back to normal or matching the guests picture. Someone truly could have had previous color, potentially of poor quality, or had it done by someone who wasn't skilled which may cause it to not come out as expected or as wanted. That being said, my company has high level stylists and educators available for corrections in every location (not everyday for the educators, but each team has one and they are available several times a week) and we are committed to ensuring the guest leaves happy! Even if it means more than one service. You would be charged by the half hour but not charged for a second service, depending on the situation. We also ensure we vet and hire skilled stylists and ensure they receive continuous paid education.
@goeblincitycosplay
@goeblincitycosplay 2 жыл бұрын
@@bobbiedaniel9347 I'm speaking from a legal standpoint on the waiver. If you have to take them to small claims court, in my experience, not having a waiver weighs in favor of the person whose hair was damaged because there is a reasonable expectation that a lay person won't understand that damage or unsatisfactory color might result from corrective color where is there is a reasonable expectation that the stylist would know. If there's no waiver, then whether or not the expectation for what might happen to the client's hair was explained is determined by the judge and, again in my experience, errs on the side of the client because the client is not the professional stylist and there is nothing in writing.
@bobbiedaniel9347
@bobbiedaniel9347 2 жыл бұрын
@@goeblincitycosplay True, the salon would be legally liable for injury and anything the stylist has done outside of process and procedure set in place by State Board and the company that has occurred in injury, possibly 'damages'. However, a verbal consultation takes place and by agreeing to proceed with the warnings and disclaimers provided by the stylist (they also take pictures prior), I would assume the guest loses a lot of room to pursue retribution legally. I'm sure it has happened. However the expectations regarding what their hair 'should have' and 'could have' looked like would be difficult to prove. I can't imagine my company losing many of those types of cases. But again, my point is to expect a salon to have a guest sign a 'waiver' is not the norm and not legally required or anything I've ever heard of across several states.

Okay. I used to work for a city government call center. calls to police non emergency were directed to us first, so we could determine if they were emergencies or not. (you'd be surprised what people DO and DON'T consider emergencies) I had a woman that was very laid back to tell me that her 3 year old ate one of those pop up gel fragrance cones. She spent 45 seconds telling me what she was talking about before telling me her daughter ATE IT!!! THEN, she was surprised that was a 911/Poison Control call.

A lot of people don't seem to realise that something that they use in their home can be dangerous. 😱 I live down the street within walking distance from JZ Styles. I've never been to a salon before (because I've been way too intimidated since I know nothing about hair lol), but I'll have to patron her. I've driven by Mandy Sue (shop/salon) many times, but never went inside. I looked on her site just now, and I'm not even surprised she used the "Girl, Wash Your Face" font at the bottom, saying, "Girl, You're Magic." Yikes. Okay, I'm a single mom, and I'll be the first to admit I've had many wtf moments with my kids when I've just needed time to decompress and breathe without helicoptering. (Thinking about that time a wayward permanent marker was found 😨.) Kids can do a freakish amount of damage in a very short time. But it's still common sense to lock products behind a child safety lock (that's found at Dollar Tree or will be given out for free at fire stations). I still lock up cleaning products and stuff, even though my kids are 8 and 6 because it's just not worth it. I've never mom shamed because the struggle is real, and having been a single mom for 5.5 years it's soul-drainingly exhausting. But I do hope all that was staged because that's reckless. She's done a lot of shitty things and I'm sure this is just a small sample of them, and like most of these types of people when called out, she probably won't take any responsibility. 😒

So I'm part of the "heart community" as my son was diagnosed with a rare heart condition at the age of six months old. One very, very rare heart-adjacent condition that is often fatal for children is called Barth syndrome. A telltale sign of Barth syndrome is uncharacteristically round cheeks, chins, and other facial features. Everything about MandiSue seems reprehensible, but the video of her laughing at her "fat face" is SO triggering. I know many families who have lost children to the horrible complications of Barth syndrome and it's heart-wrenching to see MandiSue make light of something that can be associated with such a heartbreaking disease.

Something else about the mandie/jessi story-last year mandie made a story about someone copying her. It had a question box that said something like, “tell me when you know who this person is-hint-her name has a z in it.” She then harassed and got her followers to harass jessi then made a huge slideshow about all the ways jessi had “copied” her, including ridiculous things like, we had baby boys at the same time, she got a Jeep 2 years after I did. I was in an intense therapy program for months that helped me get through it and recover, but Mandie's fat shaming is triggering and I know it must be really hard for people who are heavier to watch someone talk about how if they were actually fat they'd lose followers. Wouldn't lose them for the racism, but would bc of weight gain. I cannot stand that woman!! Especially when she's laughing like goon at her "jokes" and "talents" - not funny or cute 😒
