The character arc of Bo Katan is completed. I'm pretty sure they will kill her off very soon, because there is not much more to tell about her, unless they come up with new issues. In the coming movie, I'm sure, Din will end up as ruler of Mandalore, because he is "the" Mandalorian. The show and story always was about him, and Grogu taught him, that there is more to the world than a covert to belong to and reckless bounty hunter work. The final struggles he had wielding the dark saber will be resolved during the movie, I hope.

No it really doesn't make sense. Let's give it to the character who's really just selfishly and repeatedly shown they do not deserve the dark saber let's give it to them and let's take it away from the person who would have a great character arc learning how to use it and learning to accept the mantle because although he doesn't want it hes shown hes a good leader. Please stop giving terrible writing a pass this is so bad it's just a joke

I actually just stopped watching the show. Giving it so many passes for great character and storybeats but terrible writing and then this terrible character beat happen and I just I cannot you I'm I'm putting my foot in the sand this is bad writing. This feels like someone inserting their own OC into a story and then making that OC the main character. This is not the way. This is a far cry from season 1. This is a bad joke

​@@Taveren How is Bo Katan selfish? Even back in her Death Watch days, she was fighting for her culture not for personal power. She absolutely screwed up by joining Death Watch and seating Maul in a position of power but she's changed since then. She has become a more responsible and compassionate person since her youth. You can see this in the Clone Wars finale when she reflects on the hardships Mandalore went through and admits that she wished she could be more like her sister Satine. As for the loss of Mandalore to the Empire, there was literally nothing that Bo could do. She was fighting an entire Empire with just the force of one planet and that planets forces has been depleted in civil wars. Her decision to surrender to the Empire would've saved the most people possible if the ISB had kept their word. After that event, Bo gathered her people up again in an effort to retake her planet by retrieving the Darksaber. And she succeeded in stopping Gideon with the help of Din and Boba. Even in season 3, we can see her growth as she has learned to respect and value the Watch despite their more radical positions. Bo has fought her entire life to get to the position she ended up in at the end of the season and it was well deserved. On the other hand, Din never had any ambition to rule and only ever worked with Mandos within his tribe. Din never had a character arc about learning to use the darksaber. he failed at using it and then gave up. It happened over the course of half an episode. I wouldn't call that an arc about learning how to use it. It's true that Din has been presented as a strong authority figure for his own Tribe but that doesn't mean he has the experience or knowledge to govern all of Mandalore. And that doesn't mean he'll be a good leader once the planet is retaken and the job turns into a more bureaucratic position. Bo, on the other hand, grew up in an environment where she learned to understand how to play politics and run a system. Why would Din have an arc about accepting becoming leader when it was never suggested that he would or has any interest? People who don't want positions typically don't make good candidates. The writing and pacing this season has been a bit of a step down from last but forcing Din into the role of king of Mandalore would be a betrayal of his character and make absolutely no sense. He's a bounty hunter at heart. His story this season was about embracing his Tribe and helping to protect them in their time of need and he succeeded in that.

@@Taveren Well they did just kinda insert Din into what is the Star Wars Rebels Mandalorian storyline in this season. We've followed Bo's journey to unite Mandalore across 3 separate shows through multiple stages of her life. So it does kinda feel like they're forcing Din into this uniting Mandalore storyline where he really doesn't belong.

In the event of such a weapon being wrongfully claimed, I imagine whoever defeats its wrongful owner will inherit it. Gideon had it surrendered to him by someone who themselves had wrongfully claimed it; Gideon was not a rightful owner, but when Din defeated him, he became its rightful owner.

It's not even really a loophole, he lost it, she won it she just let him hold onto it because she didn't feel worthy of it.

Nah. This time, Bo-Katan is a lot more humble, and she has Din Djarin by her side. Plus the Empire is (mostly) defeated and the New Republic isn't likely to bomb them.

@@MCSPARTAN501 that's not the problem, Bo Katan's priorities and leadership lacks the end goal for the unification of Mandalore. Dinn Djarinn in other hand showed Bo katan in episodes of him being flexible and understanding of others in order to show common ground which shows signs of a great leader. Plus Dinn isn't Bo Katan's baby sitter if he is gona be advising her on how to lead the entire time mind as well make him the leader

@@scottyi88 Bo Katan has grown as a person a lot this season. She's dropped a lot of the high and might attitude she had last season and is more accepting of different types of Mandalorians. I think being abandoned by her people was a humbling experience for her and then being invited to the Tribe by Din has caused her to change her priorities when it comes to how she views Mandalorians. And that's why this time, she'll likely be a better ruler.

​@@swdeadpool1129 literally every season had a different mandalorian as main character, the first one had Din, the second was more focused on Grogu but with Din's support, and the third one is focused on Bo, then again with Din's support.

@@granalmirantethrawn2972 No it didn't. Din was clearly the main character in both season 1 and 2. It wasn't until this season when they randomly decided to make another Mandalorian the face.

Who cares the show is called “The Mandolorian” not “Din Djarin”. His character arc is done. It’s a title now besides this just means we’ll get more cool Mandolorians to love.

Then what is the point of his character? What is his goal? I feel even the creators don't know what to do with this series, you can put every important happening in this season into two episodes. Bad writing, bad and childish dialogues, easy resolve of conflicts. The whole thing feels like a Nickelodeon show. I hope Filoni & Favreau saw Andor and learned how to write a decent show.

It's not about Bo getting it back, that's totally logical. The problem is that giving it to Mando was pointless and they made us think it was gonna be important, why did he got it if he wasn't gonna do anything with it beyond cutting some droids? They didn't use the blade to progress his character AT ALL as they did with Sabine in her day, they promised us that he was gonna develop with the blade in TBOB, and they totally threw that away in MandoS3. Don't make promise you won't follow

Exacly. Mando has always said, he is not interested in owning a darksaber or reigning on Mandalor the only thing that really matters is his son Grogu.

No hes actually right. Plus he never wanted the darksaber it was clear from the start. Hes been trying to get rid of it sense day 1. Thats not feminism in the slightest. Thats like saying because superman won against wonder woman its misogynistic.

Okay personally this does not seem like an example of that, but I will say that I didn't like this, it could've been such a neat plotline of mando struggling with the dark saber that was cut short, and yes we did get that in boba fett but that wasn't even in Din's own show, I dunno man... It just feels wrong from a writing standpoint. Now, to be fair, Bo-Katan Kryze IS the owner of the Dark Saber, but thats about it from me I've rambled on too much already.

Now they made Din lose the saber for the sake of female empowerment, her winning to Axe Woves was the indicator for it. Whole time we were led to believe Bo would fight Din for the saber but he lost it through his own words. Now only way they can fix all of this is if they make him regret the decision in the next season so that he eventually becomes the next ruler of Mandalore. This wouldn't be a bad story but they should've let Mando lose to Bo in a fight atleast so that it's more honorable for her to rule again that way.

@mm sweaty balls lol the only thing that develops the story was the last 5 minutes of the episode. Otherwise, it was a big waste of time. How anti climatic. We got a shitty fight scene, and an even shittier result when Din just hands over the dark Saber over some excuse of being saved.

How? This makes perfect sense for both characters. Din wants to unite Mandalore but doesn't have the ambition to rule. Bo has that ambition.
