Join us as we step inside the World Of Jumanji at Chessington World Of Adventures for the first time! In this vlog we experience everything that this NEW for 2023 themed area has to offer, including Mandrill Mayhem! This unique B&M Launched Shuttle Wing Coaster is the standout attraction and in this vlog we experience the ride in multiple different seats and talk about the experience.
We also check out the two other rides located within the land. Ostrich Stampede and Mamba Strike and two themed flat rides integrated into this new themed land. We also check out the fantastic theming throughout the area and much more as we explore the World Of Jumanji for the first time!

Man that loading procedure is AWFUL. Capacity nightmare. What's the reason you can't wait in the station? That seems like a terrible design flaw.

Fr. An already crap capacity ride made worse by the station design. They would’ve known this so surely they could’ve designed the bars even higher. Virtual queues and one ride a day is disgusting

It will be the fire regulations. These buildings only have one in and one out and the out is normally on the opposite side of the station causing you to effectively cross the track if there was a fire. Thats why all the rides and theme parks now have massive loading queues inside but wont fill them. Like SAW and 13

It’s such an amazing addition to the park, and I’ve always said of how good a fit the jumanji ip was. Looks like a great coaster mandrill mayhem, can’t wait to ride it next week, great vlog guys.

I feel like mandrill mayhem is a great ride, but really not a good fit for chessington. They've struggled for years with long queues as they have so many low capacity rides, and this is only going to add to that problem sadly. So many new people are gonna be drawn in by this, which will just extend queues everywhere in the park. Something like an intamin straddle coaster would have been better imo.

You could look at the flip side of that though and say the more rides a park has the more it will disperse the cues, yes this and maybe next season will be a nightmare but as it settles in over time and people aren't just going on it because its new I doubt it will be a problem at all. Also as Chessington is a family park, not everyone will want to go on roller-coaster with inversions

With that station walk added in, I’m guessing the capacity would be something like 350-450 riders an hour, if everything is running smoothly. That’s pretty bad for a major coaster, right?

Just made a similar comment myself. Yeah it's pretty awful especially for a park that doesn't really have a queue eater. Let's hope the virtual queue system works well. Probably be limited to one / two rides a day most likely too given how quickly it's likely to fill up.

If the park's at full capacity in the summer, not everyone's going to get the chance to ride! I guess there'll be plenty of guests under 1.2m so that will help a bit, but...

I am no longer in any doubt that they are trying to force people to get fastrack. Not only did they go for another low capacity ride but the loading procedure looks an absolute shambles. Be lucky to get 400 RPH looking at that as it is now.

I think 🤔the entire staff, entertainers at Chessington works extremely hard and deserves a total raise, the entertainers are amazing engaging with the tourists in the different themes including the events awesome atmosphere ambience, such great down to earth genuine people there at Chessington and a special mention for you guys full of so much positivity energy enthusiasm motivation compassion dedication kindness joy mostly your generous extremely cheesy funny witty sense of humour innuendos laughter 😂 I’m loving your vlogs totally infectious addictive officially hooked on your channels amazing KZfaqrs going I will forever be supporting your channels take care stay safe as always get out there and keep on globally adventurous riding

The coaster is brilliant, i was lucky enough to get both a forward and backward facing go today and it was amazing. The flats were struggling with issues again today during the MAP preview, I completely understand they are new rides and its all a learning curve and was happy to wait but some other people were being rather rude in the que line about how bad it was that the rides were not working properly.

Going to check this out at the start of July! Looks like a great addition to the park, was much needed. I haven’t visited Chessington since just after Croc Drop opened as I just felt it wasn’t quite hitting the mark anymore, but I’m glad to see they’ve really thought about what was needed to update and improve the park! Let’s hope Alton Towers take notes and also open up some new permanent flat rides eventually as well as Project Horizon 😅

The bridge is there on mandrill Mayhem is there because in the second film that was a level of the game Jumanji where they had to cross moving bridges to escape mandrills. The drums in the station are they because in the film when they where about to start a new level they would play. The cobra in the market was a scene from the first film The path I shaped from the original board game. This area is extremely good but if you didn’t watch the films people wouldn’t be able to understand most of it

Oh dear. As if the capacity wasn't going to be low enough without that whole air gate loading procedure... At least the ride itself seems enjoyable, although I feel like a cheaper manufacturer would have fit the same role just fine.

Thx for such a great in depth first look and the theming is really great isn’t it? Love that they have the original Jumanji board layout in the middle and those little figures (monkey, elephant etc) look exactly like the figures in the original board game. Great work on the theming!

This area and coaster would have been perfect for Paultons. Maybe they should do something similar? 😊 I think there should be a green jewel on the jaguars head light up whenever the coaster goes up the helix too. Great Vlog you guys.

They’ve invested in all of that station theming that you won’t have much chance to take in. Surely this must be an introductory procedure that they’ll phase out over time. If not it’s nothing other than madness.

Yeah, in regards to the loading procedures. I think about the Intamin impulse coasters launching at 65-75mph through the station with smaller air gates with no issue. Hopefully that is just a temporary measure! Overall though, looks fantastic and the area is amazing.

Exactly - if you can wait behind the gates of Stealth, Rita etc this procedure for Mandrill Mayhem seems rather overkill. Mind you, Chessington has always had odd operating procedures.

I did this today for the first time, about 10 rides in 50 mins of early ride time! In the end I didn’t have to keep queuing I could just get up and move seats 😂 thankfully I managed to try front left, front right, back left, back right, then the very back ‘other way round’ left and right too!! With a couple of in the middle goes. Love off peak days!! 🎉🎉

Shawn and Charlotte, Having watched ,with your expert filming, the whole construction process, mad this experience so more meaningful for me. I think that with this ride the fact that you can quite different experience with alternate seating, makes it more interesting. I prefer not to offer a opinion about loading, after all, this is not even the official opening day! I loved the Jumanji movies, each one had a different scenario, so, I think, this ride is a subtle homage to them! Cheers, Rik Spector

As a new coaster I think it's bound to have afew issues they need to iron out, but it's a fairly short ride is it not? So I would of thought the cue would go down pretty quickly

I've been looking forward to this review for a long time. And it all looks way better than I expected! 🤩 I think Tornado Springs is still tops, but not by much. The coaster also looks a bit faster than in all the trial runs I've watched.

I guess Mystic at Walibi Rhône-Alps might be most comparable. The inverted spike didn’t hit like I thought it would. Then again it was an abnormally warm April day and it might have more hangtime on a colder day in the fall

Any new coaster addition to Chessington is great in my opinion, and they needed something with inversions and abit more on the family thrill side, i hear peoples issues with the cues etc but in my mind the more rides a park has the better in terms of that, just maybe the first few seasons might take some time to iron out that issue. On the plus side, it might meen vampire and dragons furys cues arent so long, being the other 2 main coasters

Going to Chessington World of Adventures for the bank holiday weekend! Can't wait to visit the park for the first time and to see the new Jumanji area. I won't be able to ride Mandrill Mayhem because it goes upside down and I have a heart condition. But at least I can enjoy the area and also I want to ride the famous Vampire
