She is actually a contralto. That's her natural voice. She sung in a higher register when she was younger that's why she cant sing the higher keys live.
@kittygumdrop74424 жыл бұрын
I think she probably faked that small voice sound when she was younger much like Britney Spears. I noticed when she left the typical pop music her voice sounded very different.
@robeenero4 жыл бұрын
It is only lowered a step down. It's more comfortable. That is why she asked him "Is this the key we were talking about?" Many singers do, you get older, lower keys or it's early in the morning and yes, for recordings, the studios often want their female artists to have the sweet baby girl voice because they think it's more appealing to their projected audience, young girls. Any number of reasons. She sounds good, no matter.
@kittygumdrop74424 жыл бұрын

My son, Landon, was named after “A Walk to Remember”. I wanted his name to mean something. I wanted him to know there are second chances, we can move on from our past, and when we’re open to it- love can happen. His middle name is after my friend who died of cancer when we were teenagers as a reminder that tomorrow is never promised.

Dude looks are deceptive. Remember Michael Bay told publicly that the casting of Kate Beckinsale to Pearl Harbor was because she wasn't pretty enough, so women wouldn't be bothered by her... Yes, he told this several times about Kate Beckinsale, the sexiest woman alive multiple times. Months after she gave birth, and achieved a close to 0 Body fat ratio, I don't know you, but this makes every girl I've ever met "hate" her (not the hateful hate, but the actual "Why God is so unfair to the rest of us?") so yeah I can see how Mandy could be considered not attractive, even though in the movie people mocked her for being religious, not this much because she was ugly or anything, the thing is after a while you see how lovely she is and you can never unsee it, so from that moment on you'll find her incredibly pretty.

In all honesty, her voice is what makes Rebecca's story line of not being able to get a recording contract on This Is Us nonsensical. Anybody with Mandy's voice would instantly be snatched up as soon as she started singing. No one, and I mean no one, sounds like Mandy. What a unique, beautiful, clear, strong voice she has. I still listen to the music she made years ago.
@MonaLisaFace4 жыл бұрын
Miss Priss .. not to sound stuck up, but a lot of people have told me I have an amazing voice, and sometimes that I even sound like Mandy Moore when I sing her music (it’s not usually my style otherwise)... and I don’t have a contract. I have sung for people in Sony, I’ve been on America’s Got Talent (season 6) and nothing. My friends get ANGRY with me that I’m not famous, and strangers are shocked that I’m not. As tho I can control it.... I don’t watch this is us- but there are a lot of talented people out there who don’t have deals that deserve them.
@rodrigodias43284 жыл бұрын
There's a lot of people that sound great that simply dont make it, or they dont want...due to priorities, Rebecca put her family first, which postponed her dream, and then when she kinda had a chance again it was late...I bet this happens to a lot of people.
@wendyl0v34 жыл бұрын
I agree but there are so many factors, you cant just have a beautiful voice , they need to be pretty enough or edgy enough or willing to do whatever music the label tells them to or dress how they want them to
@becalorawalker3564 жыл бұрын
As someone who’s grown up in the music industry I’m going to assure you that’s not the case. It sucks but if you aren’t marketable? You don’t get the contract. It’s a lot different today, but you still have to be sellable. Some artists don’t reveal they’ve been married for years because they sell better when their fan base thinks they ‘could have a chance.’ Sometimes they’re asked to hide their sexuality or lie about their origin story. I can’t tell you how many truly amazing bands and artists that never made it because they weren’t pretty enough or they didn’t perform well to audiences or they didn’t want to be shackled to a label. American Idol gave us this dream that ANYONE could make it. That’s not necessarily true. If you ever look at the contracts for any realty show, they essentially own your image for a certain amount of time and they can make you look like an Angel or a Demon as well as misrepresent your story and you cannot do ANYTHING to correct the assumption until you are no longer bound by contract. The reason Mandy is consistently slept on is because she was marketed in the Britney/Christina era. Her talent was lost in a sea of girls who were more marketable. It had nothing to do with her talent. It had to do with an oversaturation of people who looked like her and music that failed to distinguish itself as different in that world. It freaking sucks. Things have changed a lot, for better or worse, when it comes to keeping a fan base fed & happy. But they didn’t have those outlets then and niche fans only go so far when numbers matter.
@raegibson30664 жыл бұрын
@@becalorawalker356 Yep and notice the shows make them what they want them to be which is not necessarily their style or their own songs.... We saw this in the 90s/2000s where they had all these girl and boy bands and Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson... The studios and producers told them what they would be doing which is reminiscent to how the studios owned movie stars back in the day....
