I am getting my Sisterlock consultation this month and I'm really looking forward to having them installed. I've had traditional locks before but they were long and heavy and too thick for my roots so after 13 years I shaved them off. My neck was also hurting and they were heavy no matter what I did with them. My question is when were you able to start using oils in your hair? #2 Since you took the class for re-tightening can you share your rotation with us? I'm inspired that you didn't go to the salon for re-tightening because it can get expensive and yours turned out great anyway. My plan is to take the re-tightening class as well. The reason why your hair is dry is because you use oil alone after you wash and condition And oil is NOT a moisturiser, Oil seals in moisture so water alone is not enough you should try a leave in and then oil

I thought that you were supposed to use specific products on Sisterlocks to ensure proper maturation and avoid oils which can cause bunching and irregularities.

Im glad your someone with long hair that says long hair gets annoying. I grew up with long thick hair. I cut my hair several times. I have had my sisterlocks for 26 months.and always tell ppl im only allowing it to grow to a certain point after im cutting if it gets longer than my desire length. Having long and thick hair is a gift and curse that a lot of ppl dont ubderstand. Sn is that a nappy locs tool you use in your hair? And also since maintaining your own hair have you still been able to maintain your grids. Good vifeo by the way

Hi, I've had my sister locks for about 2 years. I've realised that the ends: about an inch in length are very bulky. Much more so than the rest of the length. What can I do to correct this? Will I have to cut it off?
