You should mention tightening the 3 set screws under the head that will lock the head from coming unscrewed from the tripod.Otherwise, good review.

Do these screws come with the head? 'Cause my old and worn head and tripod lack them (after all these years they fell out ..?)

solid review. subscribed. thank you. As a fresh novice in photography and filming. I didn't want to spend too much on the 502 head when it would be overkill for me. but I didn't know if this would be trash. thank you for covering this with the detail you provided.

As a photographer you do cary a coin in your camera bag at all times! Of course you do, because you’d be a fool not to. But I like the ring on the quick release plate a lot too, precisely because it’s quick to use.

One of the best reviews on KZfaq! Thanks! Subbed. Any thoughts on how this 128rc compares to the Befree live head? They're both same price.

Thanks! I will be reviewing the Befree head soon, so stay tuned. My general feeling is that the 128rc is sturdier while the Befree is lighter.

Wow, impressive review, you definitely know how to talk, what to say, and how to record showing the product and testing it :D I have a question, which solid tripod legs could I buy to attach this 128RC head? Want the compatible and solid as a rock without being expensive (about 120 euros could be fine).

I'd recommend the Manfrotto 290 series tripod legs. The link to those legs are in the description above.

Tks for this Review, very clean and clear !!! Do u combine Pan and Tilt shots? It works good? It's bad than cant do vertical positions. On that order what head do u recommend on Manfrotto for the dual action, photo and video? Again, tks.
@Reviewlamp8 жыл бұрын
+Alex Rios Londoño You can combine Pan and Tilt shots. For a dual action head, you'd have to upgrade to a Manfrotto MH055M8 Head: amzn.to/1T0bonC

What material is the head made out of? Looks a little plastic in the video? I am considering either this or the MHX-PRO 2W and your review has helped me clear many of my questions and concerns about this one, thanks for the great video!

How do you change the video lever from right to left? I control my camera controls using my right hand, so I need the pan/tilt lever to be on the left side. Yes, I know changing the lever itself is simple - screw in the handle on the other side, BUT NOW - the QR plate does not snap in when in this orientation ( the left side). what am I missing? I see that the QR plate has three holes , presumably to put the set screw next to the tightening screw in a different place to allow for this, but I cannot see how to remove this set screw.

I have the 128RC2 Micro Fluid Head and it's great, but when I pan left the tension of the panning motion loosens up and unscrews the head from the tripod itself, is there any way to avoid this/does this happen to anyone else?
@Reviewlamp7 жыл бұрын
+Ariana Baldassano That usually happens with most fluid heads. A solution to this is to first lock your pan axis completely and then tighten the fluid head onto your tripod as tightly as possible. Loosen the pan axis lock before moving the pan handle again. This should solve the issue.

If budget weren't a concern and one had the choice between purchasing this head or the 502hd would you opt for the latter? It will be used with a slider.
@Reviewlamp8 жыл бұрын
If you're a beginner and just need a slider to get the job done, I'd go for this one. However, if you're starting out in videography and are looking to learn and advance, I'd recommend the 502HD. Hope that answers your question? The links to both these fluid heads are above.

i am look for a Fluid Head that is as small as in tiny as a mini ball tripod head. This look nice but it still way to big. I wish thy made a mini ball tripod head with a Fluid Head monition. The reason is that my new web cam does not have a up and down stilt and mini balls are to much work. When u are adjusting the tilt, normally webcams can tilt, and they'll stay in whatever position you had tilted it to. Also if you did not tilt it enough, u can go back and tilt it more, without needing to loosen anything and tighten it back up. So i need tiny tiny Fluid Head, that i can tilt without the hassle of having to loosen it up and tighten it back up. Some thing that is as small has a mini ball tripod head. Any one know if there is such a thing?
