"Men don't cry" is Nilüfer's song and they sang it together again. A unique duet. Her song story is as follows: The man cheated on her, the woman suffered a lot, she always knew what happened, but she hid her pain inside, because she loved the man very much. Now the man is very sorry. man crying, woman trying to comfort man.She says to him: “Men don't cry, wipe your tears. We are all human, such things happen.” In a sense, she forgives the man she still loves. Memories of the past fix our present. Timeless songs take all the good things it reminds of by bringing them to the present. Slogan: Don't forget the old songs for a better Türkiye. Today’s Motto: listen old songs.

@@umaymirni492 Cinsiyetçi bir yaklaşım olduğunun farkındayım fakat anlatımınız çok güzel olmasına rağmen bu kısımı eksik bırakmışsınız , tamamlamak istedim. Şarkı isminin temel dayanak noktası bu inanıştır.Sevimsiz gelebilir ama kesip atabileceğimiz birşey değil, geleceği şekillendirmek istiyorsak geçmişi de olduğu gibi kabullenmek gerek diye düşünüyorum.

The phrase "men don't cry" is a phrase used in Turkey to mean that men are emotionally strong, they don't cry. But in the song the man made a mistake (cheated the woman) but regretted it and cries. The woman, on the other hand, knows that the man does not really love her, but the woman loves the man very much. The woman can't stand the man's crying, even seeing the man cry makes her very sad and says, "Your tears melt my heart. Men don't cry, my darling, wipe your tears." So the woman is trying to comfort the man; you don't cry, I'm human, and I'll naturally forget my pain over time, as long as you don't get upset.

Nilüfer is one of the cornerstones of Turkish pop music. At the age of 15, she was a student at an Italian high school in Istanbul. She won the voice contest organized by a newspaper. In the same year, she came in first in the competition, Sezen Aksu was the sixth. She is now 67 years old and is still engaged in music.

Actually, Dursun Zaman isn't about a girl he (writer of this song, I don't remember but it was Ferman (singer) or Yağmur (guitarist)) was in love. They wrote this song after their friend died. I went to a maNga concert 7 month ago. I'm a big fan of them. Ferman (singer of the band) said that. Also, they are singing this song in concerts for m*rdered women.

A fact about Şebnem Ferah: Most of her songs are dedicated to her dead elder sister, she died in a traffic accident. Her songs, such as Yalnız, Can Kırıkları, Hoşçakal, Bugün and many more are about her sister. I’m having goosebumps every time i remember the meanings 🥲

Türkiye’de uzun yıllar bir klişe vardı. Erkek adam ağlamaz, güçlü olur şeklinde. Bu şarkı ona atıfta bulunuyor, erkekler ağlamaz (derler ya hep) sil gözyaşını… (ağlamaktan utanıp) kaçırma gözlerini benden (ağladığın için) suçluymuş gibi, ağlamak sanki suçmuş gibi utanma, insanız ağlayabiliriz unutma, diyor… o klişeyi yıkmak için yazılmış bir şarkıdır aslında…

When listening to the first song, most people actually think about death, not love. What they say will make more sense when you think that someone you love has died. Listen to the "Dursun zaman dursun diyorsun da oyun değil ki yaşamak. Seni inanmasan da bir son var anla herkese inat" part like this. But of course, it is also a song thought of with love.

I'm a big fan of Nilufer and this is the cover of Nilufer's song. the original is much nicer and it has a lot of other good songs. She is one of the biggest female singers of Türkiye. Ajda Pekkan, Nukhet Duru, Bülent Ersoy, Zara and Candan Erçetin are the important voices you should discover. By the way, Athena did a cover of Frank Sinatra "my way" which you love so much, should listen to it too.

In Turkey, elder people defend a belief that men shouldn't cry because they think it shows weakness ,only girls can cry. This is wrong of course but, some old people has still supported this idea in Turkey.
