Күн бұрынToday Marcus drives a JDM Toyota Chaser on the backroads in BC, Canada. The Chaser was never sold here in North America, but thanks to Canada's import laws, they are now legal to import and drive on North American roads. Under the hood is a 1JZ pumping out roughly 350whp which is a great number for a car like this. Enjoy!

One of the best episodes yet! I have always loved these cars so much. It is such a shame that Toyota stopped exporting the Mark II "Cressida" to North America in 1992. I one day hope to own one of the Triplet Sedans! Job well done Marcus. Keep the Toyota's coming.

I don't know why some of you think the chaser (jzx100) is a 4door supra when clearly the real 4door supra is the aristo that comes with a N/A 2jz or a TT 2jz

+Martin L Only the JZA70 - when most people say "Supra" they are thinking JZA80, the JZA70 doesn't really compare.

+TrapKing Shega If you drove an Aristo and a JZX100 after a JZA80, you would not say what you said. Aristo's are boats with slushboxes. Chasers might be only R154, single Turbo and 2.5L but they are a far better vehicle. The VVTi 1J's is a game changer.

The Aristo is only around 100kgs heavier than the chaser and makes the chaser feel cheap and poorly built. It's the much better car. Manual conversion if you don't like the a340.

I'm from New Zealand and looking at getting a Chaser in the near future. When he mentioned about Philip's car I nearly freaked! The Chaser community is so small and everyone knows everyone, it's crazy. Can't wait for mine!

3.5 years later I'm here to say I have owned my Chaser since March 2019, have just got my Koenigs from Japan and my Traum kit is waiting for repairs and paint... This car has always been an inspiration for me, I've watched this video countless times. Cheers CY and Marcus, for starting my dream

4 door Supra (if you are thinking this cars contemporary JZA80) is the S140 Aristo, not the Chaser - the Aristo came factory with the 2JZ-GTE, the Chaser only ever got the 1JZ.

I use my Chaser as a daily and it is great, power and 4 doors but the space at the rear could be bigger.

That gen of Chaser started in 1996, only 2 more years, then it can be imported.

Aside from the exhaust, the car looks pretty good...and it sounds amazing. It's really sounds like a RB26DETT at the same stage of power. I drive a 2JZ , the power is more abrupt. Front looks nice!

Im one of the lucky fools that owned the jzx100 family. Owned the facelift 99 mark2, best car i ever owned. Fast for a big ride, always loved starting it in the morning with that big ass fan sound, exhaust note was slick with that hiss sound. Never been in a tourer v but damn, still want to buy one. This is my list of Japanese favs, mark2, 99-03 cedric/gloria, nissan stegea, crown.. Badass rides. Whatever happened to japanese cars, most of them are goofie looking now

not to mention Altezzas came with a 3S only Gita sportcrosses and IS300s came with a NA 2J. That car is hardly a 4 door Supra.

U can also check the Toyota Mark 2 IR-V that s almost like the Chaser but comes with a stock twin turbo engine factory built

If you liked the Chaser chassis consider reviewing an XE10; think of it as a much smaller and slightly lighter Chaser. I believe you guys got the IS300 in the states which had the 2JZ-GE.

Weeaboo's chaser, but i liked it anyway. Toyota Chaser for me is one of the most beautiful cars, and they look very good with big wheels and that style of bodykit.

JZX, three models, chaser, markii, cresta only chaser and markII has turbo MT (Tourer V), for cresta, only turbo AT they share the same chassis, engine, turbo, with different front and rear end. GX, with 1Gfe NA only, is a admin sedan, 2000cc, same look, but different chassis settings, so don;t get it wrong~

been looking into importing a lancia delta to the usa and discovered the 25 year rules. going to import one next year but this limits me to a evo 1. thats ok i guess. i have a feeling if i dont get one soon the prices are going to really skyrocket in the next 5 years.

Lucky for Canadá they get to have R34s S15 and a chaser and usa we Cant have the r34 till 2024 and the R33 GTR till 2020 an idk when the chaser will be legsl
