Same someone said that its because Japan likes its organizational channels but its been done before so why not now. Clearly if not even her editor understands what she means then how was anything supposed to be communicated clearly via a game of telephone. If she had spoken directly to the scriptwriter at least he would have been able to ask his questions and get a better sense of her vision. This whole scenario sucked to no ends for both of them but especially for Goa. He said it last episode too thats he's a fan of her work imagine how mentally destroyed he must feel to have failed here. While I agree with Abiko that the nonsense with the script needed to be called out what I dont agree with is her not trying to understand the system that is in place so she can hold the proper people accountable and solve this issue more efficiently right there and then, She's used to doing things by herself but this is why she brought her sensei here so she should have consulted her properly before unleashing all hell on everyone. Manga writing and scriptwriting is not the same and my prediction is she's going to have to give GOA another chance when she realizes that her way is going to lead to more problems given that she doesnt know anything about theater. The mangaka and the scriptwriter took Ls this episode but I think how they've decided to solve this is even more of an L approach but I love that this is being portrayed because these are the extreme scenarios found in theater but I hate this because I wanted to cry for the injustice done to Goa this episode.

@@Sara-ce5wr As much as I would like to agree with you, the mangaka's working on a weekly series, which happens to have the most brutal schedule and tightest deadlines in the manga industry. They don't even have time enough for themselves, let alone for social skills or understanding the system works. They end up getting sick, even with having assistants. The intermediaries between her and the scriptwriter bore the most responsibility for the disaster. For example, the editor's main responsibility is to keep the series and any projects connected with it that will bring a lot of money for the publisher running. That's why some mangaka hate their editors.

@@RishTheMan Ive watched Bakuman and trust me im painfully aware that she was dependent on her editor and everyone in between and the scriptwriter to come through because she was probably up to her neck in deadlines However, if you've been communicating something for a while now and no progress is being made something needs to change and as you said the ideal is to communicate directly with the scriptwriter and director even if its not a face to face interaction (phone call, email or zoom call) I will also acknowledge that Abiko probably wasnt even aware of this whole game of telephone thing and probably just thought her comments were going straight to the editor and he ignored them so the importance of trying to speak with him directly wouldnt have registered and this is her first stage play adaptation so she doesnt want to step on anyone's toes. The situation went south mainly because of the intermediaries. The editor wanted this back and forth to end and tried to convince her that everything was resolved. She should have seen the play then decided if it was good enough. The editor also should have orgainzed her thoughts in a way that still captured her gripes but would have been accepted by the next channel of communication. Even though no matter how he put it the game of telephone situation could have still caused this entire scenario to play out. Also if she had more time she could have reviewed her editor's comments when she was alot calmer to make sure its understood. There are so many if buts and maybes that we can pick out but the point is proper communication failed and the original correspondence should have still in some way been documented and presented to the last line of communication the scriptwriter so time effort and money on both ends at the end of the day were not wasted. I work in Accounting and even if your final report is a summary of whats happening disclosure of changes still need to be reported and why those changes were made so communication is effective.
