For the first time minimalist looks like minimalist. All these interior decor company call minimalist by putting blue/green and heavy furnitures. Whoever has done this truly understands what minimalism is.

The simple reason to it is, IT'S DESIGNED BY AN ARCHITECT AND not by so called interior designer who without formal education in design priciples and space. We need to understand the importance of hiring professional .

Could have shown the home tour in an order right from entrance to 1st floor exit to open terrace, so that we would have been able to understand the whole architecture well enough.

നല്ല വെളിച്ചം ഉള്ള വീട്. കാര്യമായി ഇന്റീരിയർ ഡെക്കറേഷൻ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ തന്നെ interior മനോഹരമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഒരു positive എനർജി. പക്ഷെ ആ മാവിന്റെ ഇലകൾ കൊഴിഞ്ഞു മഴയും നനഞ്ഞാൽ വീട് എങ്ങനെ ആവും എന്ന് കണ്ടറിയണം. 👍

Beutiful..but the mango tree during monsoon gave away lot of leaves and twigs with stains..the white walls will never survive that stains from oozing

Reminds me of the 1960s or the 70s Bangalore Mysore....it has such beautiful facade and echoes the good old British Architecture design! Simple yet so elegant

@@usha.h.pattedpatted8702 true that but after few monsoons & floods like 2018/2019 it will totally loose its charm! Old is Gold ,Sloping tiles Kerala traditional styles are the best . These new trend of box houses are OK for other states where rain is less ☺

Hope the use of chequered plate's (could have been replaced with something else) in stairs wont cause any lightning shocks/ direct earthing during monsoon. rest the design simple and spacious and clean.. loved it

Looks great but in a place like Kerala this seems to be very high maintenance. What about bugs? Dust? Rain? Do the jalis close?

Very pretty. People staying there are so lucky as they'll have a feeling of waking up in a resort each morning😍!! But my concern is the amount of labor they'll have to invest in cleaning the house especially the jally work and the courtyard and..... the mosquito attacks as i did not see any mosquito net on the openings. 🙄

Couple of questions on practicalities given the geography and theme Given the openness of the house what's the measure for pests problem which will be reduced by closed models While there's a common belief roots of core trees like mango can damage the structure what measures taken that the primary theme (mango tree) is not the primary problem ? BTW I love the concept and experience one would have in building and living in such a piece of minimalist art

Mosquito nets provided on jalis. The tree is already there with the roots. but, If you are planting a new tree at home, the growing roots may damage the foundation.

I have some questions: Full disclosure: I have not lived in India since 1984. So much jali work---beautiful---but if they need AC---it would cost a bundle. Also white paint will be difficult to maintain.

Nice..but how this house will respond to our tropical climate is a question..the flat roofs ..whiteness..jalis dipped in white..six months of monsoon will make its imprint on the exterior...
