A Mangrove Conservation and Self-Employment Training Program jointly organised by the Puttalam District Secretariat office and the Lanka Mangrove Museum was held on June 28th 2024, with the female participation of the Mampuriya, Sethapola, Palakudava and Thalavila GN Divisions. Here they were informed about the conservation of mangrove ecosystems. Also, as self-employment training, they were also educated about the production of different types of food using discarded fish.
