So wait... the pressure hose is only inserted a few inches or maybe a foot into any line sometimes, so how the heck doesn't it immediately shoot out backward when the pressure is on? Does the pressure push so hard that it straightens the hose, anchoring it in the pipe?

I used to live in the UK as a child, never understood the drainage system on the outside of houses. Here in Canada everything is inside and five feet below ground level or it will freeze solid in winter. I’ve never had a house with drain issues here.

Not sure I would want to live in a house with the drains inside At least outside you don’t have to worry about missing a day off work as long as they can get to the manhole or interceptor

@@sophiegeorge2816 there are no open drains or pipes in the basement itself, there are sealed clean outs but nothing else. I have never had a blockage while living here as the pipes underground are a lot bigger compared to the ones in the videos.

I could be completely wrong but I believe this is the differience. Sewage is the wastewater carried in sewers, sewerage is the network of pipes and sewers which carries the sewage to a sewage treatment works
