@@pulsarmaneThere’s old concept art floating around where you would be controlled via puppet in your head telling you what to do. Other than that I’m not sure. Game was super based for even existing. Modern Rockstar will never allow this to happen again unfortunately.

I like the ending scene where Danny walks along the road, that alone is a pretty good send off to the 3d universe

Worse yet, the Project will likely restart again with how Leo proved a personality alone almost brought them to their knees. Leo Kasper was that loose cannon that the government thought they could control, but failed to do so even after his death. And I get that Daniel Lamb was a sort of "victim", but he was one of the researchers that tested with the whole implant thing and got off scot-free considering that they let him walk after killing plenty of people. If anything, having someone like Leo in charge would have made Danny less of a sniveling coward as he was the one putting his work over the family.

You're right, except for one thing. Leo WAS a real person ONCE! He was an assassin trained by The Project and used as an agent by the US Government due to the temporary partnership that The Project officials had with the Government. Sometime later, something happened to Leo and he died. The Project staff managed to salvage the personality traits from his brain and archived it as a Killer Personality for further experiments on some other test subject. Leo was only chosen to be implanted in Danny's brain because of the lack of funding, because their original plan was going with a control personality (that could be triggered by will and that was much more docile than Leo), but since the Project had gotten an exposé on their asses with their sickest experiments being shown to the general public, they were forced to use the Killer Personality to show their last ditch effort of regaining the US Government's trust and funds in the hopes of not letting The Project shutdown.

Agreed. I was quite surprised that Manhunt 2 looks crappy graphically compared to other games back in 2007. We had God of War 2, Half Life 2 ep 2, Guitar Hero III: Legend of Rock and Spider-Man 3 on the PS2 and they looked way better than this.

@@krisfrosz133 I dont find much of a reason to complain, i think of Manhunt like it's the brutal death metal of video games... not just in violence and anti-PC values, but also how the game feels. If you listen to brutal death metal bands (for example) you'll notice that usually the production/mixing quality of that style of music is much more raw than most other popular music genres or stuff you that hear on the radio. Now think of that and APPLY that thought with Manhunt is to video games: Manhunt is much more violent, raw and not as graphically impressive as the big named blockbuster titles. It's the same exact thing to me. ...so saying "Manhunt dont got as good graphics as these super mainstream titles" is a lousy argument. To me thats like saying "Wahhh Dying Fetus' new album doesnt sound like the mix that Blink-182's new album has"

There’s absolutely no way it could be released today. To be honest, I’m kind of glad. I know people “this would look so cool remastered” or whatnot, but, I honestly don’t think so. Do you really want to see someone’s intestine’s being ripped out by a saw blade? Do you want to see a dude’s jugular getting grabbed by a clamp and then torn out, or have his eyes get popped out of it? I know games like Mortal Kombat do the exact same thing but those games don’t feel realistic. It’s a lot more... cheesy I’d say, it’s why I can mow down people in GTA without a second thought, because it’s not realistic at all. I have a high tolerance for video game violence, hell I actually liked the first Manhunt, and I can play and watch Mortal Kombat no problem, but this game’s executions feel so much more realistic, and we all know Rockstar’s attention to detail. If they made a 3rd Manhunt, it would actually look like a snuff film. Alongside that, we also have to remember that the first Manhunt nearly caused a mutiny by the developers. So getting a new one that WAY more realistic looking I wouldn’t be surprised if it did lead to a full on revolt. Hell TLOU2 they were forcing people to stare at real crime scenes and offered them no therapy for it. They were that obsessed at making the game that realistic, which again, is something that Rockstar would do, because look at a game like Red Dead 2 and look at how many details are in that game. It’s just an unrealistic goal, and to be honest, if they stick to the executions that Manhunt 2 had, it might even get banned in America of all countries.

I'm more intrigued in how lethal (and sadistic) Leo Kasper was as a government asset. Judging from the "flashbacks" that had Leo, he was very efficient as an assassin despite being a loose cannon. The government must have chosen to terminate such a volatile asset yet keeping his personality as template for the Project is what baffled me when the moment he was implanted, Leo knew he was used as a switch for clandestine operations and wanted to live again, and thought that destroying all traces and finally, all familial connections to the host (Daniel Lamb) would weaken him enough to take over. If that's how Leo Kasper was as a personality, I really hate to see how he was during his time.

It's a shame, really. I liked the duology even more than "GTA". So much so, I have a scene in my "Kingdom Hearts" fic based after this game's bad ending. It involves Xion and Ansem the Wise, with Xion being the Leo in this scenario.
