This song was on sale for three days leading up to Christmas 1999. They released it purely with the aim of keeping Cliff Richard off the top of the charts at Christmas. I bought it. Obviously.

Not sustainable to do that every night. Jdb's consistent vocals are the ace up the Manics' sleeves as a live band, so it makes sense he'd be careful.
