As someone who's conquered both the NEET PG 🇮🇳 (AIR- 4480) and USMLE 🇺🇸 (Scores - 270's), I've got some insider info for ya! Seriously, the USMLE made me question my existence more times than I can count, while with the NEET PG? Well, let's just say I've never felt more like a human guinea pig! 🐹 But all jokes aside, both exams are challenging (one more than the other) and require a ton of hard work and dedication. 💪 So if you're preparing for either one, remember to take breaks, stay hydrated, and maybe consider investing in some stress balls!
🙋🏻‍♂️ Who am I?
My name is Manik Madaan, and I am currently a PGY-1 Resident Doctor in the USA 🇺🇸. I truly feel honored to teach and learn from medical students and grads all across the globe. This channel is dedicated to humans all across the world. I appreciate you stopping by & really really hope I've won your subscription, regards, and love 💖.

In response to comments.....Neet pg AIR 1 will not be able to score even 250 in usmle step 2 ck with ZERO usmle preparation...... its practically over for all intents and purposes. why would PDs take any IMG who has FAILED a step? taking an IMG and having to sponsor them potentially for a visa, is a huge burden to begin with, so why would they take the risk and hire someone who has previously failed a step exam? the world isn't sunshine and rainbows and if you think your chances as an IMG at matching with failed usmle exams is not close to zero, then you're delusional

@@NO1xANIMExFAN my husband failed step 1 once.. and kept going. He failed step 2 the first time too. And he is now a final year resident in Psychiatry. The exact same field Manik is in. And he is not the only one. I have seen people who have failed multiple times, who have comr yo the US barely knowing English and taking 8+ years and multiple failed attempts to clear the exams who still matched. So no I’m not delusional. I am someone who works with a lot of residents from all walks of life. Why would PDs consider you ask? Because you can always have an explanation for why you failed the first time. As long as your CV and your PS show the kinda person you are, PDs will consider you. If you are someone who failed and lack the capacity or knowledge to improve your CV that is a whole other story. Then there is networking. You have no idea about the power of networking. So don’t be an internet troll who goes around calling people labels like “delusional”. Please tell me how many hospitals and clinics and residents you have worked with in the US whose stories you personally know and then talk. Do not listen to misleading info like this. He is good with a lot of info he provides But completely wrong about average resident salaries, average cost of living, and about how scores are not the end of your USMLE journey

I agree NEET PG is easier if you exclude competitiveness, reservation, and the fact you are gonna lose an entire year. NEET PG is undoubtedly more competitive because US medical students are no match for Indian students, I have a lot of friends in America who got into medical school without clearing any near as tough exam as NEET. Most of them are actually private and you can get into medical through money and a decent HS score (MCAT isn't that tough either).

I totally agree! USMLE is the toughest process to get through purely on merit. On the other hand, people in India cry over a 3 hour neet exam and also apply reservations, pay a ton of bribe money and what not crap politics to get a seat.

Kudos on ur rank in neet pg .You have got the rank since neet pg has changed pattern more towards USMLE although question are not lengthy .But MLE questions are unnecessary lengthy ,the actual question is just a few words . And NEET PG is an elimination exam not a qualifying exam. USMLE even with low score but good LOR reaearch u can get a residency . LOR and Interview are " firangi " sifarish .Atleast in NEET PG we get based on objective assessment not subjective interviews . Its actually unwise illogical to compare both exam .

I agree with your point that USMLE is tougher.. Neet pg is competitive..Thats due to the less number of seats compared to huge number of applicants.. If we compare the standards of questions, I think USMLE questions are on a different level!

@@Ayushup2002 bhosdike aise bol raha hai jaise jee mein 90% questions saare bacche solve kar lete hain. Tumhare yahan 55-60% marks pe top 2000 rank aati hai Neet mein top 2000 ke kiye 93% marks chahiye. And offline test if omr filling is also very hard and rank inflation is a massive issue.
