M.Tech is really hard , after one semester I have understood 🙏 , dont take it just for the tag or just as a scapegoat for taking time to prep for other exams , you will not able to survive here 😢

It's very hard for me to digest that we have to maintain > 8 CGPA in IIT. I am really scared now

No no it's not that super difficult though. Only thing is that you have to be active throughout the entire semester.

Dissertation means basically thesis or consider research. Without dissertation means mtech evaluation will be done based on projects.

No no. In fact you don't need to be a competitive coder. This is an advantage but not necessary. Even basic DSA problem solving is enough.

Bhaiya Is there any difference or discrimination done when it comes to placements in IIT like only for Mtech or only MS. Also on the CTC

No. All masters are eligible. For some research positions only MS/PhD are eligible. All other roles have same opportunity.
