Fun fact for you boys: The whole sequence from the moment they enter the Guna Caves, have all been shot in a set made from scratch. The big boulders, the plants, the lights - everything is a set. It was set up inside an abandoned godown. So much attention was given to make the set, like refrigeration to set the ambience of the environment and supporting the plants and moss that they grew there. You can't really tell the difference between the real Guna caves and this set. This movie is a work of art.

Fun fact there are three directors acting in this movie - Saubin shahi ( the bald guy who go down the hole to save his friend), jean paul lal( the brother of the loud guy with the Titanic shirt)and Khalid rahaman ( the driver). Saubin shahir who started his journey as a assistant director is now a really successful malayalm mainstream actor he made his directorial debut in 2017 with "parava " wich was commercial sucess and critically aclaimed, jean paul lal or lal jr is a sucess full director with multiple movies to his belt with the main one being the super hit " Driving licence", Khalid rahman arguably one of the most notable indian director that came up in the last 10 years he made his directorial debut in 2016 with "Anuraga karikkin vellam" wich was a huge sucess both commercially and critically each of his films being super hits his last movie "thallumaala " stood out by setting bench marks for action and editing in south indian cinema also his brother is the cinematographer of the movie shyju khalid

So in the real incident what actually saved the guy was the belt that he took from his brother.. The belt got stuck at the edge of a rock nd he was literally hanging there.. But it was hard to show that in this lighting nd camera work so the director decided to have him lay on a rock like that.. Also what he was covered in was supposedly a mix of mud, blood nd bat poo.. Here they used a paste of oreos! Haha looked legit though!

The original guys did a cameo when they played tug of war with the cast. Also the actual guys were around 18-20 when they went so all that goofing around was with age. Both the guy that went to save his friend and the guy that fell both had severe PTSD. The actual cave was set based on the guy that went down to save this friend, but the scene of the guy walking naked to show his mental emotion was actually shot in the actual caves with just a handful of people.

The rainwater falling into the pit is practical effects coz the floor of the Cave set(yes you read it right, the whole cave is a set) was designed with inclination towards the pit... water falls anywhere on the set, it would drain into that pit... and the water would be collected and pumped back up as rain... the engineering design for this is epic...

The black stuff on Subhash's body was actually Oreo mixed with water according to the makeup department 😂😂😂

I think parts of it is a set, The director told us in some behind the scenes. I'm not sure which part of it is a set because it looks so real. but yeah they made a set for the cave

The real cave is shown in the dream sequence of Subhash where he is wandering. Everything else is part of set.
