Manjurukum Kaalam is a unique family drama from renowned scriptwriter and novelist Joycee, who also wrote for the successful serial ''Amala''. The serial ‘Manjurukum Kaalam’ is based on a novel published in the same name in leading Malayalam weekly, Manorama. Manjurukum Kaalam takes the viewers through the life of an adopted girl child, Janikutty. The story revolves around her struggles of being an innocent adopted child.
Plot of Manjurukum Kaalam :
Janikutty, daughter of Manakkal Govindankutty lost her mother Aswathy on child birth. After the death of Govindankutty’s mother, he hands over her daugher Malootty to Vijayaraghavan, a distant relative and his wife Ratnamma. She is pampered by Vijayaraghavan and Ratnamma. Janikkutty’s new found love and happiness vanishes when her step mother Ratnamma becomes blessed with her own baby. Soon Janikutty becomes a burden to Ratnamma who ignores her and wants her out of their 'now perfect' life. The little tot goes through a life of suffering and hardships. Despite all her hardships she fights back and become a strong personality in society.

ഓവർ ആണെന്നും, നീട്ടാൻ വേണ്ടി കൂട്ടി ചേർക്കുന്നതാണെന്നും പറഞ്ഞവർ അറിയാൻ വേണ്ടി പറയുവാ, ഇതൊക്കെ ഈ കഥയിൽ ഉള്ള സാമൂഹികാ വീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള രംഗങ്ങൾ ആണ്, ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ അധികാരികൾ ഒക്കെ അറിയാനും പഠിക്കാനും അനുകരിക്കാനും പറ്റുന്നത്. ഓർക്കുക മഞ്ജു വാരിയരുടെ മൂവി കണ്ട്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് നമ്മുടെ ഗവര്മെന്റിനു ജൈവ പച്ചക്കറി പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കണം എന്ന് തോന്നി തുടങ്ങിയതും നടപ്പിലാക്കിയതും.

വളരെ ശരിയാണ്. പക്ഷെ മിക്ക പ്രേക്ഷകർക്കും അത്തരം സാമൂഹിക പ്രതിബദ്ധതയൊന്നും ഇല്ല എന്നതാണ് സങ്കടകരമായ വസ്തുത, അവർ കേവലം വിനോദം ലക്‌ഷ്യം വച്ചാണ് ഇതൊക്കെ കാണുന്നത്.

basil varghese കഷ്ടം, വളറെ ഇടുങ്ങിയ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടാണല്ലോ? സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ ഓരോ വ്യക്തിക്കും, ഓരോ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിനും സാമൂഹിക പ്രതിബദ്ധതയുണ്ട്. മാധ്യമങ്ങൾക്കു, ആ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം പതിന്മടങ്ങു വർധിക്കുകയേയുള്ളൂ, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകൾ കാണുന്ന ഒരു പരിപാടി ആവുമ്പോൾ.

ജാനികുട്ടിയുടെ എല്ലാ നടപടികളും എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമായി . പക്ഷെ ഒന്ന് പറയാന്‍ ഉള്ളത് ആരോട് സംസാരിച്ചാലും നമ്മുടെ മാന്യത കീപ്‌ ചെയ്യുക .. അല്ല എങ്കില്‍ ആദ്യം അവര്‍ നമ്മളോട് മിസ്ബിഹേവ് ചെയ്യണം ... പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഒരു മന്ത്രി എന്നാ നിലയില്‍ റാസ്കല്‍ , stupid എന്നാ പ്രയോഗം എനിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമായില്ല ... ഈ വാക്കുകള്‍ സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ ആ വക ടീമുകളെ വിളിച്ചാല്‍ അത് ഒരു കുഴപ്പം ആയി തോന്നുന്നില്ല ... പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ഒരു മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍ കീഴുദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ അങ്ങനെ വിളിക്കുന്നതിനോട്‌ എനിക്ക് വിയോജിപ്പാണ് .. അല്ല എങ്കില്‍ ആ മുതലാളിയെ അങ്ങനെ വിളിച്ചാല്‍ പിന്നെയും വേണ്ടുകില്ല ..

അവർ വെറും കീഴുദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ അല്ലല്ലോ, മുതലാളിയുടെ കൈമടക്ക് കൈപ്പറ്റി അർഹതപ്പെട്ട പാവങ്ങൾക്ക് നീതി നിഷേധിച്ചവരല്ലേ? ഗുരുതരമായ കൃത്യവിലോപം കണ്ടപ്പോൾ മന്ത്രിയുടെ ചോര തിളച്ചത് സ്വാഭാവികം മാത്രം. അഴിമതിക്കാർക്കെതിരെ ഉരുക്കുമുഷ്ടി പ്രയോഗിക്കാതെ കുലീനമായി പെരുമാറണമെന്ന് പറയുന്ന വിചിത്രമായ ചിന്താഗതി എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലാവുന്നില്ല.

Vimal Ramachandran മന്ത്രിയുടെ ചോര തിളച്ചതിലും , വേണ്ട നടപടി എടുത്തതിലും ഞാൻ കുറ്റം പറയുന്നില്ല .പക്ഷെ പൊതുനിരത്തിൽ വച്ച് ഉന്നതതലത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ആരോടായാലും സഭ്യമായ ഭാഷയിൽ പെരുമാറണം . എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു മോനെ മക്കളെ അങ്ങനെ എന്താടാ ചെയ്തത് എന്നല്ല .

Sherly Roy ചോര തിളക്കുന്നു എന്നറിയുന്നത് തന്നെ വാക്കുകളിലൂടെയല്ലേ, രോഷ പ്രകടനത്തിലൂടെയല്ലേ? അല്ലാതെ ചോര തിളച്ചോണ്ട് ആർക്കെങ്കിലും സൗമ്യമായി സംസാരിക്കാനാവുമോ? ഇടിയും മിന്നലും ഒരുമിച്ചാണ് വരുന്നത്, ഒറ്റക്കൊറ്റക്കല്ല.

Asif Aman കൊച്ചച്ചനോടും മുരളിയോടും ഒക്കെ ജാനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നത് പരിഹാസ ഭാവവും, പുച്ഛവുമാണ്, രോഷം അല്ല. നഗ്നമായ അനീതി കാണുമ്പോഴാണ് ഏതൊരു പൗരന്റെയും ചോര തിളക്കുക, രോഷാഗ്നി ആളിക്കത്തുക, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അത് സമൂഹത്തിൽ അടിച്ചമർത്തപ്പെട്ടവർക്കെതിരെ ആവുമ്പോൾ. അപ്പോൾ പിന്നെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തപ്പെട്ട മന്ത്രിയുടെ കാര്യം പറയണോ? അതാണ് ജോഷി വര്ഗീസിനോടും, ഇപ്പോൾ revenue ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരോടും ഒക്കെ ജാനി പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചത്. അത് തീർത്തും അവസരോചിതമാണ്. അവർ ഇതിനേക്കാൾ മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട പരിഗണന അർഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.

അധികാരമുഷ്ടി പ്രയോഗിക്കേണ്ടിടത്തു പ്രയോഗിക്കുക തന്നെ വേണം. നീർത്തടങ്ങളും പാടങ്ങളും നികത്തി, പുഴകളിൽ നിന്ന് മണൽ വാരി, വനങ്ങൾ വെട്ടി മാറ്റി, പ്രകൃതിയുടെ ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥയും സന്തുലിതാവസ്ഥയും തകർക്കുകയാണ് നാം. അവ സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ട അധികാരികൾ പോലും നീതിവിരുദ്ധമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുമ്പോൾ വേലി തന്നെ വിളവ് തിന്നുന്ന സ്ഥിതിയാണ്. ഭൂസമ്പത്തും, പരിസ്ഥിതിലോല പ്രദേശങ്ങളും കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടത് നമ്മുടെ കർത്തവ്യമാണെന്ന് അധികാരികളേയും ജനങ്ങളേയും ഒരുപോലെ ഓർമപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന episode ആണിത്.

we don't want see Jani over acting like this for whatever reasons . she is a respectable young lady now. She should act like that .Not a like a kitchen maid who got crazy with power. she lost her dignity.Who would agree her striking a police officer of her father's age?who want to see all these shouting from a young woman?

I think you aren't keeping up with the story properly. Jani's previous character has undergone a sea change as a result of all the experiences she has had over the years. The meek, submissive and tolerant individual has now transformed into a bold, fearless person who will tackle injustice head-on. Being in a responsible position, she isn't going to deal with criminals and corruption in gentle fashion.
