Linus, this is off topic but it would be beyond cool if you could get an interview with the Murderbox mod team, or a representative on your WAN show someday. Don't know if you've ever seen their work but they have a case and accessories for it. It is the Temjin case, a fav of yours if I remember. It isn't just the modding but the the level of detail and passion they put into their mods. Really is on a level I have never seen before.

Just got my 4th Manli card and it is Manli RTX 3070 and it is honestly perfect, really like that brand.

I use my TV for my main computer monitor over HDMI, it works fantastic. There are also DVI to HDMI converters if your card would happen not to have a HDMI port. Never had an issue.

In the proses of picking components to my PC a few weeks back, I had to choose between a Radeon HD 7970 4gb, this ASUS card, and the MSI 770 series. After some visits to a bunch of tech-shops, asking for advice what to choose,I ended up with the MSI 770 Lightning 2gb. So I wonder if you could do a similar unboxing & review of the MSI 770 lightning card. Many thanks!

@NafanyaZX the reason the 1GB card struggled was simply because it didn't have enough VRAM, regardless that it was OCed, that extra GB can make a difference when you play a relatively recent game on an old card.

You can setup the GTX 680 to run as a Phys-X card or if you have a GTX 770 instead of a GTX 780 that uses the same interface but different bios settings. You can actually tweak the bios and lower the clock rates to match the GTX 680 to run it on SLI.

I'd like to tell you a story about my old GTX285. It just so happened I was in possession of 2 exact same cards. Except one was a 1GB version and the other one was a 2GB model. I was playing GTA4 and using a 32" 720p TV (GTA ran @ 1360x768). Needless to say, many vehicles have been replaced and the vehicle count was high. The factory OCed 1GB version was unable to max out all the settings and run the game smoothly, but the stock 2GB version handled it just fine. 1360x768, I shit you not.

ive gotten used to the input lag and now i dont really notice it anymore playing on a 55in tv made me dizzy at first but now its perfect for gaming :) so much more realistic than a tiny 24in pannel

I actually came across a 9400GT by Manli a few days ago, and I was puzzled as you when I read the brand :D

the way the circuits process the image tvs that are over 60hz use a frame blending technology to insert false frames to give a 120 or 240 or even 960 hz image frequency with only 60hz input this is very common with high end and 3d tvs the VGA port on the tv is for specifing connection to the computer where it disables the 'false frames' and changes the picture mode to 32bit

Linus GPU boost on the 600 series relie on the temperature and power limit since they can't overvolt, once you pass 70°C the clock decreases, i believe every 5°C over gives you 13 mhz less boost, the 700 series relies on volts,temps and power limit, you can force the card to overclock higher even over 70°C

DVI is basically hdmi without the ability to transfer sound, so there exists a lot of cords that go directly from dvi to hdmi.

i wil have to upgrade when i get a 4k monitor or tv :) ive got to say gaming on a 55in tv is the most immersing experience ive ever had gaming, and its so much better than multi screen set ups -can play games at regular settings and aspect ratios -can easily watch movies -easier to run games at only 1080p -can record at default resolutions -no bezels -not squat like 3x24in monitors -not as expensive as multi monitor setups only down side is the pixel density, but that wont be an issue with 4k :)

...Well some TV's do include overscanning in order to fill the screen with your typical inputs (even HDMI), luckily enough they are starting to sort it out by making things fit to the confines of the screen. TV's also typically use rectangular pixels rather than square pixels which in some rare cases can result in horizontal stretching of the image. There are a lot of reasons, but between DVI and HDMI, there's going to be no difference of the image, it just comes down to the TV's firmware.

Linus , can you do a comparison video of 3-way SLI of gtx 780, 770 and 760? And i did a lot of research of this three cards in 2-way SLI, but the performance are so similar...Any suggestion of which card should i get? I would like a single card , but boost lots of performance in SLI , because i'm going to buy multiple cards in the future..

Linus, can I ask a seemingly simple question? Say you have a vga which supports one HDMI port. But you have two HDMI monitors, How would you go about running HDMI from one card, to two monitors? I'm assuming a HDMI splitter? Or what if you had two vga's with hdmi support running in SLI/Crossfire, could you simply use one HDMI cable per card for both monitors?

I didnt expect this brand to enter Canada. I bought their 9800GT long ago and it works fine,they are a cheap no frills brand with cards produced by the same OEM as PNY imo

My friend bought a Sapphire 7970 with the dual x cooler, and he has a CM storm scout case, that case is too small for that card, so he cut off the end of the cooler to fit it in the case, also he uses a dvi to vga for his 1080p monitor and his power supply dont have any 8 pin connectors, so he had to use 2 molex to 8 pin adapters...

Hey Linus, can you do/have you done a video on how to choose a monitor? I've been looking for one and you can get 24" for $150 but also for like $300, so i have no idea what the actual difference would be between those.

yeah i have two liquid cooled from pny factory each having their own radiator and pump built in they have been running every day since I got them at 856 mhz and have been awesome cards pny has been around for a very long time and as long as they are registered they have a life time warranty period no questions asked and if they stop making that card they will upgrade you to the same newer model card say u have a 480 pny card gone bad well if they stopped making it then you get a 780 brand new.

This card would go really well with one of ASUS' Deluxe boards and a Corsair Vengeance gold RAM kit.

It looks really nice, though I'd like to see the performance in terma of noise, temperatures and so on compared to other manufacturers GTX 770 cards.

That's cool that they stress test the card before sale, but I think it would be cooler if they stress tested it with Folding@Home rather than Prime95. Ya know, help out a bit while still stressing the card and testing stuff.

I believe most HDTVs use image-enhancing techniques which gives them better overall colors, sharpness and contrast.
