This reminds me of a thing I did when working from an office. Some fucker kept stealing my lunch so one day I laced the entire meal with laxatives and waited. Said coworker spent the entire remainder of the shift on the shitter one the laxative kicked in and I laughed and mocked them for it. Not one ounce of regret had when they reported me and I reported back that they had been stealing my lunches for the past two weeks

You know what's the most insane part about the Rat Poison or Wax plan to me? It was the second day. The protagonist actually had no idea this would be more than a one day thing at that point. They essentially ruined their ability to have lunch on the second day on a hunch that it would be a serial problem. It would've made more sense if the note bit came BEFORE the rat poison.

This was pretty funny. The bad endings had some good range to them, the wax ending easily being the best. The true ending is also good, the start of an unorthodox relationship with many a food innuendo.

No laxative ending? Missed opportunity. Hopefully real life people love themselves enough to not reward thieves by going on dates with them. I as a (insert arbitrary demographic here) do not claim this thing as one of us.

Add at least 10x the amount of reaper compared to regular chili for whatever already spicy food you're making, then add the laxatives once it's cooled and take that to work. Also make a basic sandwich or something to keep at your desk so you have food. If anyone complains, well you just wanted to raise your spice tolerance, it's a new recipe you were trying out! Actually, I'm not sure the rat poison thing would be illegal since the lunch is the player's property and there is no real way to prove that the player was banking on someone else eating the food. It's also not against any law to poison yourself. Basically, there would be no way to prove that the player was planning on someone else eating the food (aside from the internal monologue, however, last time I checked most juries aren't telepathic), and since murder requires premeditated intent, it can't be murder. It's also unlikely to be manslaughter since the lunch is the player's property and not the thief's, this would make any injuries or death not a result of the player's negligence. Since the thief knows that the food is somebody else's property and isn't theirs to take it's also presumed that they accept any risks that would come from eating the food (which would also include things like allergens, choking, food intolerances, etc).

I would just start leaving a decoy container spiked with laxatives and put the main dish somewhere else. Bo is trash and the ending where he got poisoned was the best. The wax youtuber one was great too, we became rich and Bo gets to starve.

I worked in a place where my lunch was stolen so often that I had to go out and buy food, which cost a bit. Nobody cared to do anything because it wasn't a concern. It became a concern when someone's food was 'tainted' one day and they cleaned the entire fridge. Found out that the work fridge hasn't been cleaned since I worked there and I've been there for a year or more. There was also a case of someone stealing lunches and the reason why is because they were so homeless and only ate at work and were too ashamed to ask people for food or to share food.

From my experience with food thieves, mercy was never an option. At one workplace, I had the opportunity for revenge when my own lunch was stolen. Wasabi and avocado mix very well together and it turns out that my manager at the time was a big weeny with spicy food.

honestly this game was infuriating. i cant stand weak protagonists or characters being dumb to forward a story. why not keep food at their desk from the start? why not just sit in the break room to watch for the thief? if they’re deciding that they want to resign anyways it shouldnt matter if they arent at their desk. why not use the rat poison at home rather than bring it to work? why keep putting effort into the lunches and then leaving it in the fridge when they know its just gonna be stolen? it was just really frustrating to watch.
