that story of shiva in song was a reference to nagarjuna's hit film shiva(1989) which was biggest landmark film for telugu cinema were ppl has started mentioning other films like..before and after shiva, it was also the first film of RGV(the pioneer of neo noir of indian films)

As this is the situation, I really have to mention those 2 movies someone else mentioned in the comments section. "Malleswari (2004)" and "Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (2001)" both were by same director as this movie and both are by hero Victory Venkatesh; Telugu people watched these movies countless times and we don't get bored to watch them again.. while changing channels, if we get to see one of these movies, we will stop changing channel and will watch the movie.. fun loving movies and I watch these movies on a long train journey so that I can forget about the travel time

SP Balasubramaniam sounded different because he wanted to sound like a party drunk guy (classy). He would give different voice dynamic if it's a street/mass drunkard (Chiranjeevi in Pasivadi Pranam), old drunkard (Kamal Hasan in Sagara sangamam - Thakita thathimi). That's why he was successful and could sing for 50 years. His age was near to 60 when he sang this

One thing that i have noticed about you guys is that both of you have weird taste in songs in Indian movies, you like the least favourite songs in movies, kind of those avarage sounding compositions and ignore good once, as i have been listening to Indian movie songs since childhood, they atleast to my ears kind of sound avarage mid or even bad. Maybe those weird/bad compositions sounds exotic to your ears that's why you like it.
