'Manmohan Singh's mediocre communication skills & 2G scam paved way for Modi's rise' Shashi Shekhar

Shashi Shekhar is a technocrat, and a leader in the media and technology space as well as a regular columnist and has authored ‘Collective Spirit, Concrete Action’, a book based on Mann Ki Baat - Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship communication program for connecting with people of the country. Shekhar is also a member of Team Modi and worked in the 2014 campaign for the general elections. Shekhar has also been CEO of national broadcaster Prasar Bharati and is credited with having brought change in the working style of the national broadcaster. In this edition of Podcast with Smita Prakash, Shekhar talks about how Narendra Modi has rewritten the rules of communication with the use of technology and ‘Mann Ki Baat’. He also spoke about the hostility by the media towards Modi before he became Prime Minister of the country. Shekhar also spoke about the reasons behind technocrats joining Modi’s campaign, PM’s connection with the Indian diaspora, and his first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also shares his experience of working along with Rajesh Jain on ‘Niti Digital’ and creation of a volunteering platform ‘India272.com’ in 2013 and much more. He also talks about terror attack on Akshardham temple and how Modi ensured peace in state in the aftermath o the incident. It is shocking to hear his Independence Day speech …tryst with destiny …in the era when nearly 70 % people were not educated…were poor …were tired of bloodbath…. Was he addressing Bhartiya junta or English masters? Hindi or any language of this soil should have been the right medium to show independence of speech culture and would have instilled pride in being Bhartiya,

frankly attributing communication skills of modi to his success would be disservice to all the hard work he does; manmohan singh was given two terms without any oratory skills at all.............the reason he failed was his lack of leadership; leadership is a very subjective term but you look back in history and it will become clearly objective

Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto's communication skills are good too but would that make them better PM than Nawaz Sharif? Think again? It's the leadership quality that makes you win. By your Logic Kapil Sharma is a better P.M candidate than Modi.

Manmohan worked more and spoke less that is why there were Bomb Blasts in all major Indian Cities every week and there were new Scams emerging in India every week in those 10 years of Manmohan's PMship. I think you were born after 2000, so you don't about Manmohan Singh. He was a terrible failure in terms of each and every thing. Hardly spoke a word when scams happen. Couldn't attack the enemy state after 28/11 when a country was in need to do so.

When Manmohan Singh was PM Indian economy was among the fragile five economies in the world. Under Modi Indian economy is a bright spot and driving global economic growth 🙏
