All I can say is, that this is perhaps the most honest interview on this topic. if I were to give an opinion it would almost be identical to what Manada said. Rafi sb was truly unmatched and Manada was a distant 2nd but still, the closest anyone came to having a similar talent. Rafi sb's voice was unique, he could transform it any which way he wanted. Manada's voice had natural character and grain that limited his overall scope.

Rafi Sahab was the pioneer of playback singing. He only invented and started singing exactly the same way the particular artist for whom he would sing. Till date no one can surpass him or copy him the way he used to sing for various moods or for various artists, being the hero, comedian, beggar anyone.
